J12 Paradox

　The J12, which was redesigned in 2019 under the concept of "changing everything without changing anything," now features the J12 Paradox, a two-tone colorway that creates a boundary that never blends. This model's bold design evokes the coexistence of light and shadow, with the 3 o'clock edge of the watch's head being black and the rest being white. This boundary is achieved by precisely cutting and combining two different ceramic components of different shapes and colors. The border that runs from the case lugs through the bezel and dial is created using pad printing. The in-house developed Caliber 12.1 automatic rotor, visible through the transparent case back, features a ring reminiscent of the Chanel brand logo. The movement's shape is visible through the hole in the ring, creating an instantly recognizable design, adding a touch of elegance to the J12's distinctive and distinctive position.

J12 Paradox

Following on from the "J12 Paradox" Ref. H6515, which used black and white ceramic to express the boundary and coexistence of light and shadow, the company has now released a limited edition model that expresses this theme through the brilliance of diamonds on a highly resistant black ceramic base. This model features an 18K white gold case set with baguette-cut diamonds at the 3 o'clock edge of the bracelet, with the remaining section made of highly resistant black ceramic, embodying founder Gabrielle Chanel's preference for a simple black style lavishly accented with jewelry. The dazzling brilliance of the diamonds further enhances the presence of the "shadow" created by the black ceramic.

J12 X-RAY

　Twenty years after Chanel introduced the black "J12" in 2000, elevating ceramic to a material suitable for luxury watch exteriors, the brand unveiled the "J12 X-RAY," a watch crafted from transparent sapphire (synthetic corundum) with the aim of liberating itself from color coding and achieving transparency. The 38mm sapphire case is equipped with the new Caliber 3.1 movement, which features a sapphire plate that allows light to pass through the minute wheel and gear bridge, allowing the viewer to appreciate the lace-like gears. The transparent sapphire dial also features a railway track, surrounded by floating baguette-cut diamond indices. The bezel is also lined with baguette-cut diamonds, encircling the movement, indices, and white gold hour and minute hands, all floating within the case. The bracelet, constructed from links carved from sapphire, further embodies the J12 X-RAY's concept of transparency.
