The brand's origins lie in a jewelry and watch store founded in Lucerne, Switzerland, by Carl Friedrich Bucherer in 1888. He had two sons, a watchmaker and a goldsmith, who took over the family business, leading to the current Bucherer, a luxury Swiss jewelry and watch retailer. In 2008, the company developed its first in-house caliber, the CFB A1000, and launched a wristwatch equipped with it, marking its evolution into a true manufacture. In 2016, the company released the in-house caliber CFB A2000, and the Manero Peripheral, equipped with this caliber, was highly praised as an accessible model with a classic design and a streamlined automatic movement that is more advanced than the CFB A1000.
