Founded in 1896 by Ernst Goegeler, the company has been designing and manufacturing complications since the 1970s, including perpetual calendars and five-minute repeater modules. Acquired by Breitling in 1997. Gabriel Hublier, who served as president from 70 to 2000, was recognized for his contributions to the watch industry and was awarded the Gaia Prize (Entrepreneurial Category) by the La Chaux-de-Fonds International Watchmaking Museum in 1999.
