Watch Terminology Dictionary

A watch with a built-in compass. It is difficult to combine a magnetic compass with a mechanical watch, which is susceptible to magnetic influences, but such a watch already existed in the 19th century. A famous example is the Porsche Design "Compass Watch" from 1980. The movement is enclosed in an anti-magnetic case, with a compass placed underneath.
