Founded in 1832, Longines Watch Company Francillon S.A. was officially named the Longines Watch Company. Its founder, Auguste Agassiz, handed over management rights to his nephew, Ernest Francillon, in 62. In 67, he established a modern workshop and introduced the L20A, a new caliber wound by the crown. In 1880, the Longines trademark was registered. Since then, the company has released masterpieces such as the automatic chronograph calibers 13.33Z (1910), 13ZN (36), L22A (45), and 30CH (47). In 1977, the company released the slim automatic L990, but later focused on developing quartz movements. In 84, it released the VHP, a quartz movement with an annual accuracy of ±10 seconds. In addition to classic models, the company now produces sports watches such as the Hydro Conquest. Representative models include the Legend.
