　Henri Jacques, a fragrance house founded in Grasse, Provence in 1975, has opened its 10th boutique worldwide in Tokyo's Ginza district. What's unique about this house is that it has remained a haute perfumery (custom-made perfume) company since its founding. The laboratory collects precious natural ingredients from all over the world, and perfumers combine them carefully selected to create perfumes using traditional methods.

　While Henri Jacques is an haute perfumery, it also offers a wide range of fragrances, including the captivating "Les Classiques de Henri Jacques." These truly special perfumes were created to allow everyone to find the perfect scent for themselves from among the approximately 3000 scents that have been custom-made to date. The core of the collection, "Les Essences," is approximately 100% fragrance concentration, and just one drop is enough to release a rich fragrance that lingers for a long time. "Les Blooms" is based on the Les Essences formula, diluted approximately 80-85% with alcohol, resulting in an airier fragrance. The fragrance selected by the French headquarters for the Japanese market is the Japan-exclusive collection, "Teindresse de Henri Jacques," which we will introduce here.

　Christophe Tremaire, the company's artistic director and architect, not only designs each store but also a number of stunning cases. The "HJ Voyage" collection is a travel case specifically for perfume, created for customers who travel the world. The blue case shown in the photo is made from the finest Australian porosus crocodile leather, tanned in France by skilled artisans. It is a beautiful case that would look great displayed in your living room at home.

　Furthermore, with the desire to "allow busy modern people to wear solid perfume," the "Les Solids" collection was launched. Furthermore, a special case called "Click-Clack" was developed to hold the solid perfume. This modern case, made of titanium and carbon fiber, is an astonishing, patented masterpiece that incorporates watchmaking techniques.
