　A limited edition model of the "M45 F7 Mechanical Moon Phase" has been announced, featuring a gray and black theme that expresses the depths of space. M45 is named after the star cluster known as "Subaru." Orient Star has previously included models themed around the night sky in its M45 collection. This model is themed around the phenomenon of the moon overlapping the Subaru star cluster, where the shadow of the crescent moon obscures the bright stars of the Subaru star cluster.

　The highlight of this piece is its dial. The dial base, which has an embossed texture, is painted with a gradient finish, and then a clear wrapping layer is applied. On top of that, a soft material called a ruler is used to repeatedly print on a three-dimensional object, and ink is layered on top of the wrapping layer to create three-dimensional Roman numerals. This multi-layered structure allows this piece to express the depth of the eternally vast universe and the countless stars that lie within it, while maintaining a subdued tone. As light shines through, the appearance changes dramatically, and the indexes emerge in shadow.
