　He dreamed of becoming a singer since he was in middle school and attended music school. The Korean entertainment industry is known for being extremely tough, but he auditioned for PLEDIS (an entertainment agency) and passed in 2012. After two years and seven months of training, he made his debut as the main vocalist of SEVENTEEN in 2015.

　His outstanding singing ability has attracted attention not only from fans but also from around the world, and in 2019 he was selected to play the lead role in the musical "Excalibur." Despite it being his first musical, he was able to take on the lead role, demonstrating his talent to live up to the high popularity and expectations.
