Here's a look at all the new Tudor watches announced for 2024. As Tudor continues to expand its core Black Bay collection, the most notable announcement was the release of the Black Bay 58 GMT, a Master Chronometer-certified model featuring a newly developed movement with a GMT function. Other announcements include the Black Bay 58 18K, Tudor's first diver's watch made of 18K yellow gold, new Black Bay colors, and a model featuring the Clair de Rose in the signature Tudor Blue color.

Automatic movement (Cal. MT5450-U). 28,800 vibrations per hour. Power reserve: approximately 65 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 39mm, thickness 12.8mm). Water resistant to 200m. Bracelet model: 643,500 yen (tax included). Rubber strap model: 613,800 yen (tax included).

The Black Bay 58 GMT, a Master Chronometer certified watch, has been announced. It is based on the popular 39mm Black Bay 58. The "58" refers to the year that Tudor released the Ref. 7924, known as the "Big Crown," the brand's first diver's watch to be water resistant to 200 meters. The design is also inspired by this iconic model.

The notable features of this model are that it is a new collection with a GMT function that has been certified as a Master Chronometer, and that a new movement, not just a minor improvement, was developed to receive this certification.

The Master Chronometer certification is administered by the independent Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). While the watch is in its case, it is inspected for accuracy, magnetic resistance, water resistance, power reserve, and other performance characteristics. The accuracy requirement is particularly stringent, requiring accuracy to be within 5 seconds per day, and it is also characterized by the requirement that accuracy must be guaranteed in a magnetic field of 15,000 gauss.

The Cal. MT5450-U is a movement with a GMT function developed to achieve this performance. Cal. MT5450-U is not a conventional movement with a GMT module retrofitted, but is designed with the GMT function in mind. While this creates some drawbacks for the manufacturer, such as the inability to standardize parts, it has the advantage of making it easier to optimize the design.

While retaining the distinctive snowflake hands, the design has been modified for this watch. The rotating bezel has been changed to a bidirectional rotating type, in keeping with the conventions of regular GMT watches, and the 24-hour display is written in a font that gives a classic impression.

The second hand is a lollipop-shaped tribute to Tudor's early diver's watches. The dial color is brushed black. The gold scale creates a classic impression. The bezel is two-tone black and burgundy.

The crown is more compact than that of conventional diver's models, and is curved to fit along the side of the middle case so that the crown tube is not visible. It is also available with either a bracelet or a rubber strap.

The Black Bay 58 18K has been announced, featuring an 18K yellow gold case and an open case back that allows the movement to be viewed.

The design is classic, following the Black Bay 58, which has been popular since its release. The Black Bay 58 18K, which features an 18K yellow gold case and a "golden green" dial and bezel with matte gold details, was already in the lineup. However, this is the first time that a Tudor diver's watch has been produced with an 18K yellow gold bracelet.

The distinctive Tudor Blue does not refer to a specific hue, but rather to the blue models added to the iconic collection, a reference to the variety of blue dials that Tudor has combined with its watches since 1969, when it first introduced the distinctive blue dial on the Tudor Submariner.

Tudor 2024 New Claire de Rose

The newly announced Claire de Rose comes in three case sizes: 34mm, 30mm, and 26mm, and is available with either a Roman index dial or a dial set with diamonds, for a total of six models.
