A quick look at H. Moser & Cie.'s new watches for 2024!

We present a summary of the watches that H. Moser & Cie. released in 2024. The main focus of Watches & Wonders 2024 was the new Streamliner, which has now grown into one of H. Moser's signature collections. The most notable watch is the Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton, which features a skeletonized tourbillon.

Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton

　The Streamliner, a luxury sports watch from H. Moser & Cie. that has enjoyed great popularity since its release in 2020, has now been joined by a long-awaited skeleton model. The movement is equipped with a minute flying tourbillon with a double hairspring, allowing you to enjoy the powerful movement that makes it seem as if it is floating in mid-air.

　H. Moser & Cie. first produced a skeletonized watch with the 22 Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton. This model combined a movement with a minute flying tourbillon with an off-center fumé dial. In this model, the dial has been completely removed, revealing the entire see-through movement.

　The Caliber HMC 814 used in this watch is equipped with a double hairspring designed and manufactured by Precision Engineering, a subsidiary of H. Moser & Cie. These two hairsprings compensate for the movement of the center of gravity of each spring when expanding, reducing wear and significantly improving accuracy and isochronism.

　The barrel and rotor have been hollowed out as much as possible, but the unique organic lines, symmetry, and the unique integrated bracelet with no lugs give the watch a minimalist finish while still exuding the unique and modern feel that is characteristic of H. Moser & Cie.

　The anthracite mainplate and bridges are precisely chamfered, the ergonomic case is recessed into the middle section, the sides are satin-brushed, and the case surface is alternately polished and brushed.The top and bottom are covered by slightly domed sapphire crystals.

　The hour and minute hands are divided into two sections and feature inserts of Globolite®, a ceramic-based material mixed with Superluminova.

Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade

　A limited edition model of 100 pieces worldwide has been released, combining H. Moser & Cie.'s iconic Streamliner with jade, combining individuality and elegance in the brand's signature minimalist style.

　The jade used for the dial is a natural stone mined in Wyoming, USA. The jade selected by H. Moser & Cie. is an extremely rare stone with a deep olive color that gives the watch depth.

　The natural, untreated jade preserves the natural beauty of the stone, and each dial is unique. The delicate patterns and unique colors that naturally occur during the formation process are carefully cut to achieve a uniform composition and exceptional purity.

　The dials are made using a process that combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. First, a lapidary selects jade stones of exceptional quality and beauty. The selected jade stones are then precisely cut using CNC cutting fluid and processed into thin plates just 1 to 1.2 mm thick.

　The slabs are laid out on a jig, moistened, and examined under a light to determine the optimum position for cutting into the dial. The dial is then glued to a metal plate and CNC milled to the exact shape and thickness required. This process requires great precision to avoid damaging the jade's uniform structure.

　The final touch is hand-polishing, where chips and scratches are carefully removed to bring out the natural shine. From here, the process is passed to the dial cutter, who meticulously applies a thin layer of varnish to the reverse side to prevent the brass from showing through and to preserve the beauty of the jade. The dial is then glued to the brass base.

　The organically shaped case and integrated bracelet are crafted from 18K red gold, and a minute flying tourbillon is placed at 6 o'clock, highlighting the strength of the jade.

　The automatic movement, Cal. HMC 804, uses a double hairspring designed and manufactured by Precision Engineering, a subsidiary of H. Moser & Cie., to improve accuracy and isochronism.

Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon

　This perpetual calendar model was announced as a one-year limited production model. Its vintage-inspired smoked salmon dial features four central hands (hour, minute, and second hands) as well as a small month display, a long power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock, and a date display at 4 o'clock, creating a very unique design.

　As the name suggests, this model features a smoked salmon dial, which has a satin-like texture thanks to a griffe finish (French for "scratched") that changes color with the light and changes color from chocolate to gold as the wrist moves.

　The simple dial, devoid of subdials, indexes, or logos, features hour and minute hands with inserts of Globolight®, a ceramic-based material mixed with Super-LumiNova, creating a highly visible contrast. The red and white color scheme of the month indicator also stands out well against the dial, and the hands, while small, have a strong presence.

　The movement boasts a long power reserve of approximately 168 hours and is equipped with the hand-wound caliber HMC 812. At the 4 o'clock position where the date window is located, two discs with numbers from 1 to 15 and 16 to 31 are incorporated, and the date is displayed by alternating between upper and lower layers.

　The crown is also positioned in this way, and the date window is angled to tilt the numerals by 26°. The date is adjusted using a "flash calendar" function, which instantly changes the date after midnight and can be adjusted forward or backward at any time of the day.

　The most notable feature in terms of functionality is the complex perpetual calendar, with the leap year display located on the movement side visible through the sapphire crystal case back, a feature typical of H. Moser & Cie.'s pursuit of minimalism.

　The movement's main plate is microblasted and rhodium-plated in anthracite, the bridges have a double-stripe finish, and the balance, bridges, gear train, barrel, and escapement are coated in anthracite gray PVD.

Pioneer Center Second Concept Citrus Green

　The Pioneer Centre Second Concept Citrus Green, a timepiece that is typical of H. Moser & Cie., offering a surprising twist that delights watch enthusiasts, is a striking watch with a punchy lime green dial, just as its name suggests.

　The dial features a sunburst finish. It's a fumé dial, a signature H. Moser style, with a dark exterior and a lighter interior gradation. The simple design, featuring only the hour, minute, and second hands, allows you to fully appreciate the nuances of the vibrantly polarized design of the dial. The hour, minute, and second hands are also coated with Super-LumiNova, creating a unique glow even in the dark.

　The press release for this work also reflects the style, with playful phrases such as, "This watch is also a brilliant 'diss' from H. Moser & Cie., proving once again that the brand will not bow to anyone." This is a new work that will make you want to try it as a "missing" piece.

Pioneer Center Second Cosmic Green

　Announced at the same time as the Pioneer Centre Second Concept Citrus Green, which is clad in vibrant lime green, was the Pioneer Centre Second Cosmic Green, which features a fumé dial in the contrasting deep, subdued color of Cosmic Green.

　This model has a slightly smaller case size of 40mm in diameter than the former, and the dial features hour, minute, and second hands as well as faceted indexes, giving it a more classic style. The dial is finished in clear lacquer and features the "H. Moser & Cie." logo.

　The case back is transparent and uses sapphire crystal. The bridge of the automatic Cal. HMC 201 movement is anthracite-finished and decorated with double stripes. The ratchet-type bidirectional rotor is hollowed out, allowing for a better view of the movement.
