At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024, held in Geneva, Switzerland, Frederique Constant will be showcasing two new watches: the Classic Date Manufacture and the Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture. Both models feature new movements.

Classic Date Manufacture

　The "Classic" collection, characterized by sophisticated lines and a classical style, utilizes craftsmanship and the latest technology to realize Frederique Constant's brand philosophy of "luxury watches at an affordable price." The "Classic Date Manufacture" has been added to this collection, featuring a pointer-type date display and a new in-house movement with a significantly extended power reserve from the previous approximately 38 hours to approximately 72 hours.

　The new automatic movement, the FC-706, uses over 90% of the same components and is based on the same technical specifications as the FC-710, released in 2012. The bridges have been given new finishes and have been completely redesigned to accommodate a larger barrel for the power reserve. Additionally, the previous circular graining has been replaced with fan-shaped Côtes de Genève decoration.

　The case size has been reduced from the previous 42mm diameter to 40mm, and the dial has been made compact, resulting in a simple, uncluttered design.

　The dial, decorated with a sunburst pattern that reflects light beautifully and evenly, is available in three colors: a salmon color with a chocolate brown alligator strap, a silver color with a marine blue alligator strap, and a black dial and strap combination.

　The indices, hands, and minute track have been redesigned for a more refined and modern look. The hands and indices are silver-colored, and the applied indices are diamond-faceted and polished. The hour and minute hands are also hand-polished and faceted with diamonds, and have been redesigned in an alpha style to harmonize with the indices.

　The dial is adorned with a railway-type minute track, and the crown is a slightly large onion shape that is easy to operate.

　The simple design makes the date display, which is also the name of the model, stand out elegantly. It also comes with a 5-year international warranty, which is reassuring.

Classic Moon Phase Date Manufacture

　Frederique Constant's iconic model has been expanded with three new colors: the Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture, which features a moonphase and date display function and a 40mm case size.

　The moon phase and date display are balanced in a window at the 6 o'clock position on the dial, enhancing the simple design. The moon phase rotates every 29.5 days, and the date display is a pointer that indicates the numbers 1 to 31.

　Developed over nearly a decade, these three models feature a completely redesigned design and are equipped with the new in-house Manufacture Caliber FC-716. This movement inherits 90% of the components from the FC-715, which was added to the Manufacture Caliber lineup in 2015. The power reserve has been extended to approximately 72 hours. The movement's finishing has been changed from the previous circular pattern to a new fan-shaped Côtes de Genève pattern, which can be seen through the transparent case back.

　The sunburst dial is available in three colors: silver-gray, which highlights the metallic luster; modern, deep midnight blue; and innovative, distinctive British racing green. The hour and minute hands and indexes are faceted with diamonds. A railway-style minute track runs around the outer perimeter, and an onion-shaped crown is located at 3 o'clock.

　The blue and silver-gray models are fitted with an alligator strap with marine blue stitching, while the green model comes with a green alligator strap matching the dial. It comes with a 5-year international warranty.
