The Ritmo Mundo "Pegasus" collection features a transparent case made of mineral-reinforced glass.

Founded in 2002, Ritmo Mundo develops uniquely designed watches. This time, we will introduce the newest addition to the octagonal Pegasus collection. The most distinctive feature of this watch is the mineral-reinforced glass case. The movement is also skeletonized, and several variations are available with different colored inner bezels and hands.

　Sapphire crystal cases have been available for watches for over a decade, with brands like Hublot and Richard Mille leading the way, as well as Bell & Ross, Girard-Perregaux, ArtyA, and Audemars Piguet.

　However, even today, there are not many brands that offer sapphire crystal cases. This is due to the time and labor required to process sapphire crystal, making it extremely expensive to manufacture. Even Chinese manufacturers make sapphire crystal models very expensive.

　That's the appeal of the Ritmo Mundo Pegasus we're introducing today: it has a sapphire crystal-like appearance and is priced at 3000 euros (approximately 50 yen).

　Ritmo Mundo was founded by Ali Soltani in 2002. How does the brand manage to achieve such a price? Simply put, the case is made of mineral-reinforced glass, which is 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, rather than sapphire crystal, which is second only to diamond in hardness with a Mohs hardness of 9. While this makes it slightly less hard, it is still very hard.

　The case is 44mm in diameter, octagonal, and water-resistant to 30m. It is secured with four screws. The glass case exposes the entire watch, including the skeletonized mechanical movement. The inner bezel is available in a variety of colors, and the hands are also color-matched.
