Geneva Watch Days will be held from Thursday, August 29th to Monday, September 2nd, 2024. This event, which was started by Bulgari and Breitling, is now in its fifth year, with 52 brands participating this year. New watches will be unveiled again in Geneva in August!
Watches & Wonders Geneva has now become the dominant watch fair, but as if to rival it, Geneva Watch Days is also gaining in popularity.
The event started modestly with just five brands: Bvlgari, Breitling, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., and MB&F. However, by 2024, the fifth edition, the event will have 52 participating brands, including three from the Swatch Group: Breguet, Blancpain, and Glashütte Original.
Jean-Christophe Babin of Bvlgari, co-organizers of Geneva Watch Days (whom they call MAJOR DONATORS), said: "Geneva Watch Days was born in 2020, when Baselworld and Watches & Wonders Geneva were canceled due to the (COVID-19) pandemic. These are new rules for a new world: decentralized, inclusive, agile and open. At a time when we are more innovative than ever, we continue to celebrate high horology in Geneva, the birthplace of watchmaking."
Highlights of Geneva Watch Days
The highlight of Geneva Watch Days is the opportunity to see new products from microbrands and small fashion houses that are usually not available to the public. This is the only event where you can see not only well-known Japanese brands like De Bethune and Armin Strom, but also connoisseur brands like Bianchet, Lederer, and Singer.
Although not as large as Watches & Wonders Geneva, the event will feature a symposium bringing together experts from various fields, as well as a charity auction in collaboration with Philips.
Chronos Japan and webChronos will provide comprehensive coverage of this second watch fair both online and in print, digging deep into not only new releases but also interviews and highlights.
