Breitling has announced the Caliber B19, a new movement to commemorate its 140th anniversary. The Caliber B19 is the company's first in-house complication movement, combining a perpetual calendar and a chronograph. With a power reserve of approximately 96 hours, it maintains stable operation over long periods of time despite its complex mechanism. To commemorate the 140th anniversary, models equipped with the Caliber B19 will be released in three collections: the Premier, Navitimer, and Chronomat.
Premier B19 Datra 42 140th Anniversary
The Premier B19 Datra 42 140th Anniversary is a dressy model that descends from the Premier, which was born in 1943. Its 18K red gold case is paired with a black dial, and its rounded Arabic numeral indexes and syringe-shaped hour and minute hands create an elegant impression. The minute scale is red gold, and the tachymeter around it is black, creating a strikingly contrasting, three-dimensional dial. The moon phase indicator at 12 o'clock features a classic design with a moon face.

Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary
The Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary features an 18K red gold case and dial, and the Navitimer's signature rotating slide rule scale is finished in black. It features a 30-minute counter and date display at the 3 o'clock position, a leap year counter and month display at the 6 o'clock position, a small second and day display at the 9 o'clock position, and a realistic moon phase display studded with stars at the 12 o'clock position.

Super Chronomat B19 44 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary
The Super Chronomat B19 44 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary is a model belonging to the powerful Super Chronomat series. The case is made of 18K red gold and the bezel insert is made of black ceramic, creating a luxurious color scheme. Of particular note is that this is the company's first model to feature a skeleton dial. The movement inside can be seen through the gaps in the subdials and indexes, making it a must-have for mechanical enthusiasts.

Both models feature a see-through case back, allowing visitors to see the movement inside. The rotor is engraved with a 140th anniversary inscription and a picture of Breitling's Montbrillant factory, located at 3 rue Montbrillant in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
