Omega "Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional" Ref. 310.30.42.50.01.001
The Speedmaster is a monumental presence, having reached the surface of the moon. While carrying on its tradition, the movement has undergone significant evolution, giving it specs befitting a modern model. Manual winding (Cal. 3861). 26 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Stainless steel case (42mm diameter, 13.2mm thick). Water resistant to 5 bar. Priced at 1,111,000 yen (tax included).

The Speedmaster is one of the most famous chronographs. This model is a manual-winding Professional watch that was certified as NASA equipment and is a direct descendant of the model that landed on the moon. The current Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional is available in two models: one with a solid back and a sapphire crystal with a see-through back, but this time we will be introducing the former. The Hesalite crystal, which does not shatter even when subjected to impact, meets the specifications set by NASA for use in outer space.

The dial and case design have remained largely unchanged since the fourth-generation model was released in 1967. Contrary to its appearance, however, the movement housed inside has undergone significant evolution. While based on the Cal. 1861 movement used in the previous model, the use of a coaxial escapement extends the maintenance cycle. It also incorporates a silicon balance spring with excellent magnetic resistance, and has been certified as a Master Chronometer. It boasts top-level practicality among current hand-wound chronographs.

Omega "Speedmaster '57" Ref. 332.10.41.51.01.001
This model follows the design of the original Speedmaster. While recalling details from the original, such as broad arrow hands and a bezel with a tachymeter scale, the blue dial creates a modern feel. It's also notable for its high-spec specifications, which offer excellent precision and magnetic resistance. Manual winding (Cal. 9906). 44 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve of approximately 60 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 40.5mm, thickness 12.99mm). Water resistant to 5 bar. Priced at 1,507,000 yen (tax included).

The Speedmaster '57 pays homage to the original Speedmaster, which was born in 1957. It incorporates design elements from the original, such as an arrow-shaped hour hand, a bezel with a tachymeter scale engraved directly into the stainless steel, and clean case lines.

The blue dial is lined with concave indexes coated with white Super-LumiNova. The inset dial has been split into two, and a date display has been added at 6 o'clock, creating a modern design. The inset dial at 3 o'clock functions as a coaxial 12-hour and 60-minute counter, and can measure up to 12 hours.

The watch is powered by the hand-wound Cal. 9906 movement, which features a co-axial escapement, a silicon balance spring, and is a high-spec chronograph movement certified as a Master Chronometer. The sturdy bridge features arabesque Côtes de Genève decoration, which can be viewed through the caseback.

The unidirectional rotating dive bezel features a black oxalic acid anodized aluminum insert, and while many modern dive watches use polished ceramic inserts, the classic aluminum insert is a perfect fit for this watch's strong vintage feel.

The sharply designed case, which is water resistant to 300m, is easy to match with a suit, despite being a diver's watch. The case back is transparent, allowing you to see the mechanical automatic movement, Cal. 8912, housed inside. The dark brown dial features vintage-colored Super-LumiNova indices and hands, and a Broad Arrow at 6 o'clock, signifying the watch's British official status. The bezel insert is crafted from brown tropical aluminum, matching the dial.

The case is made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant titanium. It features a helium escape valve at 10 o'clock. The classic mesh bracelet is also made of titanium, just like the case. The case back features a Broad Arrow in the center and the "007" logo around the outside. Thanks to the Naiad Lock, which keeps the case back in place, these details remain perfectly aligned with the case, regardless of the model.

The movement is Cal. 8806. This movement also features a coaxial escapement and a silicon balance spring, and is Master Chronometer certified.
