2024.12.18

Many people are interested in the trendy green dials, but are hesitant to try them out because they worry that their watch will look out of place on their wrist. If you're one of those people, be sure to check out the Laureato's "Sage Green." This elegant smoky green, which subtly changes hue depending on the angle you look at it, adds a fresh touch to this Girard-Perregaux icon and subtly updates a wide range of outfits for a contemporary look.

This new colorway maintains the Laureato's refined design, inherited from the original 1975 model, with its unique tonneau-shaped case featuring a circular base and octagonal bezel, and its beautiful bracelet that seamlessly connects to the case. The sage green dial, which subtly changes color depending on the angle of the light, is sure to be popular with both men and women looking to jump on the small-diameter trend. Midnight blue and copper dials are also available. Automatic (Cal. GP03300-2476). 27 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 46 hours. Stainless steel case (38mm diameter, 10.02mm thick). Water resistant to 100m. Price: 2,090,000 yen (tax included).

Recently, the trend has been to incorporate softer, less vivid colors into outfits, such as light gray, light beige, and smoky pastel colors. The Laureato's sage green is an exquisite color that perfectly echoes this trend. Perhaps Girard-Perregaux itself is also impressed with this color, as following the previously released 42mm 18KPG case, a new 38mm stainless steel case with a sage green dial has been released.

As you know, green is the hottest color in the watch world, but the Laureato's green has a slight grayish tint. While it appears subdued at first glance, the shadows of the dial's Clos de Paris decoration make the green stand out depending on the angle, creating a stunning beauty on the wrist. The gold color of the GP logo and other details also complements the smoky green.

This luxurious 18KPG case model, with its skillful use of polished and satin finishes and the delicate sage green dial, is exquisitely balanced without being ostentatious. It will be easy to wear with a wide range of styles, from dressy to casual. While the dial of the stainless steel model on the right page only features the GP logo and central second hand in gold, this model features all hands and indices in gold, creating a more elegant dial surface. Also available with an ultramarine blue dial. Automatic (Cal. GP01800-2311). 28 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 54 hours. 18KPG case (42mm diameter, 10.68mm thick). Water resistant to 50m. 7,304,000 yen (tax included).

Among the luxury sports watches with integrated bracelets that originated in the 1970s, the Laureato lacks a flashy look, but its presence and high quality are enjoyable, which is one of the reasons why it is popular among watch connoisseurs. The addition of a modern, understated and vibrant dial color further emphasizes its quiet luxury aspect. Incidentally, both models feature a see-through case back that displays the in-house movement. Naturally, the rotor and bridges are beautifully decorated, allowing owners to fully enjoy the sense of superiority of owning a masterpiece from a prestigious manufacturer.

The word sage also means "wise" or "thoughtful," so for those who want a watch that is not flashy but still conveys good taste, the sage-colored Laureato is a perfect choice.

The dial, with its three-dimensional effect and multifaceted design, is decorated with a Clous de Paris pattern, which has become a symbol of the Laureato. This model comes in a new sage green color, and the date display is also coordinated in the same color.

The 18K pink gold rotor and bridges are also decorated with Côtes de Genève. The circular-grained main plate, engravings throughout, mirror-polished screws, and meticulous chamfering all add to the elegance of the in-house movement.

The distinctive bracelet, made up of H-shaped links, is also given the same polished and satin finish as the case. As a result, the way it sparkles changes with the slightest movement of the wrist, highlighting the fact that it is not just another luxury watch.

The Laureato is already comfortable to wear, but the 38mm diameter stainless steel model boasts an even slimmer case thickness of 10.02mm, making it even more comfortable to wear. This means it fits smartly under dress shirt sleeves without interfering with the fit.
