　Seiko has released many innovative diver's watches to date. The 1968 Mechanical Divers Modern Design GMT is a model that inherits the design codes of the diver's watch equipped with a high-beat movement that the company developed in 1968, while being updated for modern times.

　The greatest feature of this model is its use of the green color, which has recently been gaining attention in the watch world. Not only the dial, but also the lustrous ceramic bezel insert is colored a deep, elegant green. As you'd expect from a diver's watch, it offers excellent visibility. The indexes, which combine dots and bars, and the thick hour and minute hands make it easy to read the time even in the dark. This model also features a GMT function, allowing you to read a second time zone using the yellow GMT hand and 24-hour display on the flange.

　The case, which inherits the original's powerful design, is dynamically finished by combining hairline and mirror finishes. The crown, located at the 4 o'clock position, is designed to prevent interference with the wrist when worn.

　The clean case, without a crown guard, is reminiscent of the original design. The diameter has been increased to 40mm, and chamfering has been added to create a more three-dimensional finish. Water resistance is 300m, boasting the highest specifications of any of the company's air diving diver's watches. The stainless steel bracelet is made up of short 8mm links, providing a superior wearing comfort.

　This model is equipped with the mechanical automatic movement Cal. 6R55, which has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

Seiko Prospex "Speedtimer Mechanical Chronograph" Ref.SBEC021

　This model features a design inspired by the chronograph watch equipped with the Caliber 6138, released by Seiko in 1972. The dial is a two-tone white and black color, known as a "panda dial." The subdials are the small seconds at 3 o'clock, the 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and the 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock. The chronograph hands have orange tips to prevent confusion with the time display hands. A black tachymeter scale is placed around the outer edge of the dial, enhancing functionality and tightening the overall look.

　The streamlined case is designed based on the original motif. Its pump-shaped pushers and large crown are a striking design that takes ease of use into consideration. The bracelet is a classic nine-link type. Its construction with fine links ensures a supple fit.

　The automatic chronograph movement, Cal. 8R48, is equipped with a column wheel and vertical clutch, making it a highly reliable movement that ensures accurate time measurement.

Seiko Prospex "Speed ​​Timer" Ref.SBER001

　This chronograph has a unique layout with a separate subdial for chronograph counters. The 1/100th second counter is located at 2 o'clock, the 1/10th second counter at 10 o'clock, and the second counter at 12 o'clock. Normally, the dial at 6 o'clock displays the time, but by pressing the push button at 8 o'clock, it switches to stopwatch mode and functions as a 60-minute counter.

　This piece, which truly places emphasis on precise time measurement, has been highly praised for its design and was awarded the Good Design Award in 2023. The judges praised the fact that, while modeled after the 1964 stopwatch, it has been transformed into a wristwatch that is easy to use on a daily basis, as well as the warmth that can only be obtained from an analog watch.

　This unique layout and its ability to measure time accurately to 1/100 of a second are made possible by the light-powered quartz movement, Cal. 8A50. This movement was newly developed for this watch, and its light-powered function means that regular battery changes are not necessary.

Seiko Prospex "Alpinist" Ref.SBEJ005

　The Alpinist, a perennial favorite among Seiko models, is being joined in 2023 by a new model equipped with a GMT function. The simple compass operated by the crown at 4 o'clock and the vibrant green dial are inherited from the design of the Alpinist, which was released in 1995.

　The previously released three-hand model featured gold-colored polished indices, but this model features a matte finish for improved visibility. The GMT hand has a red tip to avoid confusion with other hands and improve legibility. The second time zone can be read in conjunction with the 24-hour display on the bezel. The inclusion of a GMT hand also makes the simple compass easier to use.

　The sporty case with crown guard and screw-down crown makes it water resistant to 20 bar. The calf leather strap is not water resistant, but as long as you take care, it is a watch that can be worn in a wide range of situations.

　The movement is the automatic Cal. 6R54, which has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours and can be viewed through the see-through case back.
