Versatile and unique with its blue dial

Nowadays, it's not uncommon to see watches with dials in a wide range of colors, including green, red, gray, and brown. However, until a few years ago, white, silver, and black were the mainstream, and blue was the only colored dial available. Perhaps for this reason, blue dials are more versatile than other colored dials, and are perceived as more user-friendly. However, the appeal of blue dials doesn't end there. Each brand and model adds its own unique character to the color, making them unique as well. This time, we'll introduce five luxury watches that stand out in blue, including models with blue dials and bezels.

This model, part of King Seiko's "KSK" series, features an indigo blue dial inspired by the culture of the 1960s and 70s. The hour and minute hands are coated with cream-colored luminous paint, and the dial features vertical hairlines to create a texture that appears aged over time. Despite the intricately designed dial, the combination of large indexes and long hands ensures sufficient practicality.

The case's sharp lugs create a powerful design. Its 38.3mm diameter matches the recent trend toward smaller diameters. Another factor that enhances its practicality is that it is water resistant to 10 bar. The stainless steel bracelet is a dressy seven-link type. The finely divided links ensure a flexible fit. The bracelet can be easily removed from the case by operating a lever.

The movement used is the Cal. 6R55, which is highly reliable and has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

When it comes to luxury blue watches, the Oceanus is the first to come to mind. This model features a blue sapphire crystal and a bezel with a laser-processed semi-matte finish. The dial is colored with three layers: silver vapor deposition, color paint, and gradient pattern printing, resulting in a blue hue that changes exquisitely from the center to the periphery. The resin indexes and hands are cut and milled to ensure high visibility.

The case and bracelet are made of titanium. Titanium carbide treatment enhances wear resistance and color development. The finish is Zaratsu polished, allowing you to enjoy a smooth mirror finish.

It also excels in terms of functionality, with a full range of features including Tough Solar, a solar-powered system, radio wave reception, and a Mobile Link function that connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, as well as world time, a stopwatch, and a full auto-calendar.
