Carl F. Bucherer was founded in 2001 with its roots in a long-established watch and jewelry store in the scenic lakeside city of Lucerne, Switzerland, and takes its name from its founder.
From the beginning, the company has been actively involved in research and development of movements, and in 2008 it announced its first fully in-house developed caliber, the CFB A1000.

Now that the second caliber, CFB A2000, has been added to the portfolio, creating fascinating timepieces, we take a look at its evolution.
Caliber CFB A1002 incorporates a compact, in-house developed functional module for the big date, day of the week, and power reserve display. Like the peripheral rotor on the back, this contributes to the movement's slimline design. The movement measures 32mm in diameter and 6.3mm thick. The weights that occupy half the circumference of the ring are made of highly dense tungsten.
