Junki Tozuka, who is currently enjoying a breakthrough role as Todoroki Taichi in the NHK drama series "Wings of the Tiger," made an appearance. His hobby is motorcycles, and he buys anything he wants, making him the kind of watch-obsessed resident, but he seems to have had no connection with wristwatches for a long time. He says the reason for this is that "I grew up in a laid-back rural area, so I never paid much attention to the time."
Totsuka says that the reason he started wearing watches was because his father gave him a Zenith El Primero. Although Totsuka ended up owning a luxury watch worth over 100 million yen, he didn't immediately move on to another luxury watch.
Totsuka says, "I want to buy watches in stages." His second purchase was the Hamilton PSR, which he felt was "perfect for me right now." In response to Totsuka's assessment of the PSR, "It looks new and classic, but it doesn't look like a watch," Editor-in-Chief Hirota speculated, "Perhaps it overlaps with the range of Totsuka's acting career." He found this choice interesting.
Totsuka, who is steadily getting into the watch hobby, Editor-in-Chief Hirota recommended two watches: the Seiko 5 Sports SBSC020 and the Grand Seiko Heritage Collection SBGH299. Totsuka was intrigued to hear that the former was manufactured in Ninohe and the latter in Shizukuishi, both areas with ties to his hometown of Iwate Prefecture.
