MR-G: The pinnacle of G-SHOCK, perfect for grown-up men
G-SHOCK is known for its shock-resistant watches, often perceived as casual. Among them is the "MR-G" collection, which incorporates cutting-edge technology in both its interior and exterior. Its creation dates back to 1996, when it aimed to create a shock-resistant watch with a metal exterior, something that was thought to be impossible at the time, and it was born after repeated prototyping and testing. Since then, it has continued to evolve, retaining the shock resistance that G-SHOCK is known for, while also adopting new materials, improving aesthetics through coloring technology, and through the craftsmanship of Yamagata Casio, where it is manufactured. It has garnered high popularity as the pinnacle of G-SHOCK.
I want to enjoy the superior durability of G-SHOCK both at work and at home. However, it's difficult to wear a casual watch at work. The MR-G collection is highly recommended for men in their 40s who have this problem. With a luxurious feel befitting a mature man and robust enough to handle active scenes with ease, the MR-G will provide you with strong support.
"MRG-B5000B-1JR"

This model inherits the design of the original G-SHOCK model. In addition to radio wave reception and mobile link, it also features a full range of functions, including world time and a stopwatch. It has a light-powered quartz movement. It runs for approximately 10 months on a full charge (22 months in power save mode). It has a Ti case (49.4mm x 43.2mm, 12.9mm thick). It's water resistant to 20 bar. It's priced at 495,000 yen (tax included).
The MR-G follows the design of the first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, which debuted in 1983. Despite its substantial appearance, the exterior is made of DLC-treated titanium, resulting in a light and comfortable fit. The case, case back, and push buttons are made of high-hardness titanium based on 64 titanium (grade 5 titanium), the band is made of DAT55G, a titanium alloy developed in Japan that combines high hardness and excellent workability, and the buckle is made of pure titanium. The top bezel, engraved with the G-SHOCK logo, is made of Cobalion, a cobalt-chrome alloy said to be approximately four times harder than pure titanium and to have a brilliance comparable to platinum.
To give the complex case a luxurious finish and shock resistance, the bezel is divided into 25 parts. Each part is Zaratsu polished before being assembled, giving the uneven design a sharp finish. Inside, a suspension combining T-bars and leaf springs and a silicone buffer are incorporated, achieving excellent shock resistance despite the full metal case.
"MRG-B5000BA-1JR"

The MR-G features a blue ink motif. It features a shock-resistant Multi-Guard Structure, incorporating a stainless steel leaf spring and a silicon buffer between the bezel parts. It has a light-powered quartz movement. It runs for approximately 10 months on a full charge (22 months in power save mode). It has a Ti case (49.4mm x 43.2mm, 12.9mm thick). It's water resistant to 20 bar. It's priced at 495,000 yen (tax included).
Like the aforementioned MRG-B5000B-1JR, this model inherits the design of the original G-SHOCK. Taking advantage of the case structure divided into multiple parts, this model features a blue-ink motif coloring. The four corners of the bezel and the dimples on the case and band are blue-IP treated, while the sapphire crystal is blue-coated. The case and band are made of titanium with a black DLC finish. The top bezel is made of Cobalion. Made from scratch-resistant and lightweight materials, it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Of course, its tough specifications, such as shock resistance and 20-atmosphere water resistance, are still intact.
The dial features the brick pattern that is the identity of the first model, and is combined with a cool-looking inverted LCD screen.
Another feature of this model is its extensive functionality, including Tough Solar, a solar-powered function, radio wave time calibration reception, a mobile link function that connects to a dedicated smartphone app via Bluetooth, world time, stopwatch, timer, and LED light.
"MRG-B2100D-1AJR"

This model features an analog dial with a design inspired by woodworking. The octagonal design gives it a stylish impression. Solar-powered quartz movement. Runs for approximately 5 months on a full charge (18 months in power save mode). Ti case (49.5mm x 44.4mm, 13.6mm thick). Water resistant to 20 bar. Price: 572,000 yen (tax included).
This model features an octagonal case and analog dial, making it an attractive, modern design. The case, case back, buttons, and crown are made of 64 titanium, the band is made of DAT55G, and the top bezel is made of Cobalion. The intricately shaped case is divided into multiple parts, and a MultiGuard structure incorporates buffers between each part to mitigate impacts to the module. Furthermore, the crown also features a unique Clad Guard structure to ensure shock resistance. Attention to detail has been incorporated into the design, ensuring that the "MR-G" letters engraved on the top always remain horizontal when the crown is locked.
A distinctive feature of this watch's design is the dial, inspired by the traditional Japanese craft of woodworking. The dial, featuring wavy irregularities and tiny holes, expresses the world of kumiko latticework. Light that passes through the lattice-like dial is used for photovoltaic power generation. The highly visible analog dial also boasts enhanced functionality, with a date window at 3 o'clock and a pointer-style day of the week display at 8 o'clock.
"MRG-B2100R-2AJR"
