At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025, which began on April 1, 2025, Patek Philippe unveiled a diverse range of 15 new models. In addition to adding a new size to the much-talked-about "CUBITUS," the brand also introduced a number of complications, including perpetual calendars and split-second chronographs. Among these, the must-see is the Ref. 27000M-001, a hand-wound desk clock with a perpetual calendar, weekly calendar, and a power reserve of approximately 31 days.

Grand Complication Ref. 27000M-001
The company unveiled a superb manual-winding desk clock with perpetual and weekly calendar functions. This complication, inspired by the desk clocks made for James Ward Packard and Henry Grapes Jr. in 1923 and 1927 (now housed in the Patek Philippe Museum), embodies the company's rich watchmaking expertise.

Automatic movement (Cal. 86-135 PEND S IRM Q SE). 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 31 days. Sterling silver case (164.6 mm long, 125 mm wide, 76.73 mm deep). Not waterproof. Price: 186,560,000 yen (tax included).
This timepiece is equipped with the new manual-winding rectangular movement, Cal. 86-135 PEND S IRM Q SE, which boasts an extremely long power reserve of approximately 31 days and a timekeeping accuracy of ±1 second per day. Made up of a total of 912 parts, this movement employs a constant force device that maintains a stable balance wheel oscillation angle throughout the month, and a total of nine technical patents were applied for during its development. This high-performance movement is the culmination of the company's manufacturing expertise, having been developed over a period of approximately seven years.

The cabinet that houses it is crafted from sterling silver, and the cover is decorated with hand-painted green Franké enamel guilloched waves, the outer edge of which is engraved with a rope motif that echoes the bezel.

The central silver opaline dial displays the hours, minutes, seconds, moon phase, date, day of the week, month, leap year cycle, and day/night, as well as the week number indicated by a red moving frame on the periphery. Not only does it simply organize a huge amount of information, but it also takes legibility into consideration, with Roman indices used only for the main hour and minute hand displays.

An 18K white gold case model has been added to the Quadruple Complication, which features a minute repeater, one-push split-second chronograph, and instantaneous perpetual calendar. Automatic winding (Cal.R CHR 27 PS QI). 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 48 hours. 18KWG case (diameter 42mm, thickness 17.71mm). Not waterproof. Price: 195,880,000 yen (tax included).
This model features a new ice blue soleil dial with a deeper blue hour marker and hour and minute hands. A small seconds and moon phase are located at the 6 o'clock position, while the 12-hour and 60-minute counters are located on the inset dial. Only the hands used for the split-second chronograph are white, ensuring excellent legibility.

This Quadruple Complication is a spin-off of the Triple Complication, which was released in 2011, and is a collection that newly adds a split-second chronograph.
The Cal.R CHR 27 PS QI movement has been equipped with a platinum micro-rotor in addition to strengthening the torque of the mainspring, and also incorporates two new patented technologies: a backlash compensation clutch gear that eliminates jumping of the hands when the chronograph is running, and an isolator mechanism that eliminates energy consumption by the split-seconds hand when stopped. The adoption of these innovative technologies has made it possible to incorporate a split-seconds chronograph, which consumes a lot of energy.

The 18K white gold case is fully polished, with a pusher at 2 o'clock to start and stop the chronograph and a pusher at 4 o'clock to operate the split-seconds. It is presented on a brilliant navy blue alligator strap and is completed with a patented three-blade white gold fold-over buckle.
