Last year, A. Lange & Söhne celebrated the anniversaries of the Datograph and Lange 1, and released notable new models from those collections. Following this, in 2025, the company released the 1815 and Minute Repeater Perpetual, both equipped with newly developed movements, as well as the Odysseus in honey gold.

A. Lange & Söhne's 2025 New Release ① "1815"
In 2025, A. Lange & Söhne released two versions of the 1815, each featuring a newly developed movement in a compact 34mm case.

Manual winding (Cal. L152.1). 21 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KWG case (diameter 34.0mm, thickness 6.4mm). Water resistant to 3 bar. 385 million yen (tax included).

Manual winding (Cal. L152.1). 21 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KPG case (diameter 34.0mm, thickness 6.4mm). Water resistant to 3 bar. 385 million yen (tax included).
The previous 1815 model had a case diameter of 38.5mm for the basic three-hand model. However, the new model is 34mm in diameter. It is also just 6.4mm thick (although the 38.5mm model's case is still extremely thin at 8.8mm), and is crafted from 18K white gold or 18K pink gold, establishing a classic and elegant style. Although small, the case features a combination of polished and satin finishes, which, combined with the slight step on the edge of the bezel, gives it a three-dimensional look.

The watch's minimalist design, with only three hands, allows for the attention to detail that characterizes a luxury watch. The 925 silver dial is a deep blue, with gold lancet-shaped hands and elegant white Arabic numerals. This design is reminiscent of A. Lange & Söhne's famous pocket watches.
The blue or reddish brown leather strap adds a classic touch.

It's also worth noting that this compact 1815 is equipped with the newly developed manual-winding movement, Cal. L152.1. This is the 75th movement produced since the brand's revival. While it features traditional decorations cherished by A. Lange & Söhne, such as the three-quarter plate developed by Ferdinand Adolph Lange, gold chatons secured with blued screws, and an engraved balance cock, it also ensures modern practicality with a free-sprung balance and a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. While smaller diameters often result in shorter power reserves, the fact that it achieved this long duration demonstrates A. Lange & Söhne's technical expertise.
A. Lange & Söhne's motto is "NEVER STAND STILL," and this collection embodies that stance.
A. Lange & Söhne's new 2025 model, the Minute Repeater Perpetual,
A new model has also been released that features the newly developed movement, Cal. L122.2, which combines two complex mechanisms, a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar, with A. Lange & Söhne's iconic outsized date.

Manual winding (Cal. L122.2). 54 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. Pt case (diameter 40.5mm, thickness 12.1mm). Water resistant to 20m. Limited to 50 pieces worldwide. Price upon request.
A minute repeater is a mechanism that uses sound to announce any given time. In this model, operating the slider attached to the side of the case at 9 o'clock activates a hammering mechanism that sounds a low tone for the hours, two tones for the quarter hours, and a high tone for the number of minutes that have passed since the last quarter hour. The impressive duet played by two gongs tuned to high and low tones is made up of a total of 720 different striking repertoires.

It is worth noting that the minute repeater incorporates a mechanism to optimize its operability and functionality. During the 14 minutes when there is no need to strike the quarter-hour after striking the hour, a regular repeater will strike the hour with a short delay before striking the minutes. The minute repeater is equipped with a pause omission function to prevent this gap.
Furthermore, there have been many repairs due to the minute repeater being activated with the crown pulled out. To prevent damage to the striking mechanism, this movement's crown cannot be pulled out while the striking mechanism is engaged. Furthermore, a patented hammer blocker momentarily stops the hammer in its original position each time it strikes a gong, preventing it from striking the gong again due to recoil.

Another complex and precise mechanism, the perpetual calendar, only requires correction once, on March 1, 2100. It also features a high-precision moon phase display that faithfully replicates the Earth's orbital period, resulting in an error of just one day every 122.6 years. Furthermore, all calendar functions can be adjusted with a single button at the 8 o'clock position, providing added usability.

The dial, crafted from fine black enamel and gold, is a fitting complement to these exceptional mechanisms. Comprised of four components, it was painstakingly crafted in A. Lange & Söhne's workshops. While models featuring complex mechanisms tend to have cluttered dials, the overall layout remains clean and easy to read, likely due in large part to the small outsize date window at 12 o'clock. The day and 24-hour display are located at 9 o'clock, the month and leap-year display at 3 o'clock, and the small seconds and moon phase display at 6 o'clock. The moon in the moon phase display is crafted from 18K gold and is surrounded by more than 100 hand-engraved stars.

This model will be produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces worldwide and will only be sold at select A. Lange & Söhne boutiques.
A. Lange & Söhne's 2025 New Release #3: Odysseus Honey Gold
The Odysseus embodies sportiness and elegance, and the new model with a warm brown dial and A. Lange & Söhne's exclusive 18K honey gold case and bracelet is also a must-see.

Automatic movement (Cal. L155.1DATOMATIC). 31 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 50 hours. 18K Honey Gold® case (40.5mm diameter, 11.1mm thick). Water resistant to 12 bar. Price upon request.
The Odysseus collection was launched in 2019 as A. Lange & Söhne's first stainless steel sports model. It was developed to meet the needs of those who want to wear a high-precision mechanical watch for sports and leisure. Like the other collections, there are currently variations of 18K gold models, and this time the exterior is clad in 18K honey gold.
The 18K honey gold case, a first for the Odysseus, is not too thick at 11.1mm, and combined with the slim bezel, it creates an elegant look. At the same time, the watch also features original features such as pyramid-shaped pushers for adjusting the date and day of the week, and small calendar windows at 3 and 9 o'clock for easy viewing. The case and bracelet are primarily satin-finished, while the edges and bezel are polished, creating a sense of depth.

The hands and applied indices are also made of honey gold. They harmonize with the brown color, are not too thin, and are coated with white luminous paint, ensuring legibility in a variety of situations. The glossy finish in the center contrasts with the embossed periphery of the dial and the small seconds display, and the flange with its gold-colored minute track that slopes outward and has a red numeral at 60 adds a unique touch.

The five-link bracelet is flexible. The folding clasp has a built-in anti-drop mechanism, and also features a mechanism that allows for fine adjustment of up to 7mm by simply pressing the push button without opening the clasp.
The movement is the automatic Cal. L155.1DATOMATIC, which stands for the combination of a date mechanism and an automatic winding mechanism.
