Though an etablisseur, the brand meticulously finishes both the exterior and the movement, and works with trusted suppliers to produce luxury watches that combine high quality with aesthetic appeal. Though a small maison, it enjoys strong support, especially from watch enthusiasts.
Laurent Ferrier announced the new Classic Auto Horizon watch for 2025 at Watches & Wonders Geneva. This is the sixth installment of the Serie Atelier collection, which was sold exclusively online in 2024, and is now available as a regular model.

The Serie Atelier collection is a limited edition collection launched by Laurent Ferrier in 2020. Last summer, the Classic Auto Sandstone - Serie Atelier VI, featuring a warm lacquered copper-tone dial, was released. This new model retains the same design and movement, but with a new dial color in Horizon Blue.
The Horizon Blue color was inspired by nature, which founder Laurent Ferrier has always paid homage to. This color was achieved by layering a translucent blue lacquer over a silver galvanic-coated base. The dial center is hairline-finished, the outer edge is circular-satin-finished, and the small seconds hand is snail-finished, creating a sense of depth despite its minimalist style.
The date window is also distinctive, sloping from the center of the dial to the periphery. This shape is designed to achieve both visual balance and ease of illumination. Combined with Laurent Ferrier's iconic white gold assegai hands and drop-shaped indexes, as well as the cross lines running across the dial, it creates a design that exudes a strong sense of individuality.
The 40mm diameter stainless steel case encases the horizon blue dial in an elegant round shape. This design is inspired by 19th century pocket watches, and its classical beauty reminiscent of Gallé pebbles is eye-catching.
The movement used is the Cal. LF270.01, the company's second automatic movement, developed by Laurent Ferrier for the Sport Auto.
The elegant decoration, typical of Laurent Ferrier, is well worth seeing. Furthermore, to pay homage to the natural escapement used in the Cal. LF 229.01, the movement is given the same curve as the acclaimed micro-rotor of the Cal. LF 229.01.
It uses a ratchet-type ball bearing for one-way winding and has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, making it both beautiful and practical, as is typical of Laurent Ferrier.
The lineup includes a pin buckle model and a folding clasp model, with the former priced at 8,415,000 yen and the latter at 8,690,000 yen (both including tax).
