Here's a look at the new watches for 2025 announced by Hermès, who will be participating in Watches & Wonders Geneva. The collection includes timepieces that are full of Hermès' signature ingenuity, including a model equipped with the unique "Tencheusepondue" mechanism, which suspends time.

"Arceaux Tanchspondue" 3 models
Three models of the Arceau Teinche-Spondue watch have been announced, featuring Hermès' unique "Tenche-Spondue" mechanism. Teinche-Spondue means "suspended time," and when the pusher at 9 o'clock is pressed, the hour and minute hands move to a position sandwiching the 12 o'clock index. In the case of the retrograde pointer date, the retrograde hand is hidden in a protruding section between 4 and 5 o'clock. Hermès uses this mechanism to express the importance of temporarily forgetting the constraints and passage of time and enjoying the moment.

This model is a reinterpretation and redesign of the same model that was released in 2011, and the highlight is the openwork in the center of the dial. The mechanical configuration of this model combines the automatic movement Cal. H1837 with a tanchspondu module, and the operation of the tanchspondu module can be seen through this openwork.
Three models are available: an 18K white gold case with a Rouge Cellier (red) or Braun Désert (sand gold) dial, and an 18K pink gold case with a blue dial.
"Hermès Cut Tanchouspondieu" 3 models
The Hermès Cut, released in 2024, will also be equipped with this Teintspondue mechanism and will be released as the Hermès Cut Teintspondue. The Hermès Cut is a design that combines a case with a softly curved disk whose sides are boldly cut to create a wall, with a bracelet based on straight lines that contrasts with the case.

The Hermès Cut Teint Supondieu is available in three models, all with a satin-finished 18K rose gold case: a silver opaline dial model, a silver opaline dial model with diamonds on the bezel, and a limited edition model with a red dial and sunburst finish on the outer periphery.
This model combines the automatic movement Cal. 1912 with a tanchspondu module to achieve a distinctive movement. The counterclockwise rotating running indicator at 4 o'clock highlights the unique characteristics of this mechanism.

"Arceaux Rocaval de Lille"
The Arceau, designed by Henri d'Origny in 1978, has undergone many changes and served as a canvas for Hermès' creativity and craftsmanship. This year's Arceau Rocaval de Lille is a model depicting a playful horse using horsehair marquetry, carving, and miniature techniques.

The motif is the mischievous horse that appears in "Rocabar de Lille," a silk scarf that is synonymous with Hermès. The horse is carved into an undulating sculpture and then miniaturely painted to express its mischievous expression. Horsehair marquetry is placed in the background, adding texture to the canvas of this piece. Furthermore, by operating the pusher at 9 o'clock, a connected spring mechanism causes the tongue to pop out, as shown in the photo.

Automatic winding (Cal. H1837). 28,800 vph. Power reserve of approximately 50 hours. 18K White Gold case (41mm diameter). Water resistant to 3 ATM. Limited to 12 pieces worldwide. Estimated price: 27,060,000 yen (tax included). Scheduled for release in October 2025.
Two models of the Maillon Libre Watch
The iconic "anchor chain" design, which has been used as a motif in various Hermès items, has been reinterpreted and made into a wristwatch, the "Maillon Libre Watch." The hour and minute hands are positioned on the links of the anchor chain as if they were the dial, expressing the dynamism of the sparkling links.

Two models are available: an 18K white gold model and an 18K pink gold model. Both models feature brilliant-cut diamonds on the front of the anchor chain. The connecting links are accented with cushion-cut diamonds in the 18K white gold model and cushion-cut terracotta tourmalines in the 18K pink gold model.

Two models of the "Maillon Libre Brooch"
Two new models of the Maillon Libre Brooch were also released, reinterpreting the anchor chain as a brooch, a long-loved men's accessory. The links of the anchor chain are used as the dial, accented with terracotta tourmalines in the 18K pink gold model and indicolite tourmalines in the 18K white gold model.

Diamonds are set on the anchor links, giving it a sparkling finish, and it can be used in a variety of outfits, such as decorating the collar as a brooch or wearing it as a pendant by threading it onto a leather cord.
