IWC has announced the new "Pilot's Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun "Lake Tahoe." This model is a white three-hand model in the traditional "Top Gun" series. The contrast between the high-strength white ceramic and the highly visible black dial makes this an elegant and functional pilot's watch.

A new style for three-hand models that combines cutting-edge technology with white ceramic

IWC Schaffhausen has given its legendary Top Gun line a new look with the Pilot's Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun "Lake Tahoe." Its compact, striking design is entirely in white. The 41mm case is crafted from highly refined white ceramic, its color inspired by the snowy winter scenery surrounding Lake Tahoe, located on the border between California and Nevada in the United States. In addition to its natural beauty, the area is known as the training ground for elite U.S. Naval Aviation personnel.

Automatic movement (Cal. 32112). 21 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 120 hours. Ceramic case (diameter 41.0 mm, thickness 11.4 mm). Water resistant to 10 bar. Price: 2,145,000 yen (tax included).

The Lake Tahoe White colour, which has become iconic for IWC, is achieved through a complex process: zirconium oxide is mixed with specific metal oxides in precise proportions, which are then pressed under high pressure. A subsequent "sintering" process gives the material an exceptional hardness of approximately 1300 Vickers, making the structure extremely scratch-resistant.

Contrasting design of black and white

The watch's appearance is striking, with a deep matte black dial featuring white indexes and Arabic numerals. The hands, which are black-coated and coated with Super-LumiNova, ensure legibility even during night flights. The date display is also matched to the dial's color scheme, creating a harmonious look.

Exterior specifications that combine functionality and aesthetics

The screw-down titanium case back features the Top Gun logo, a subtle nod to the watch's roots. The white rubber strap with a titanium pin buckle adds a sporty yet luxurious touch to the watch, showcasing a thoroughly monochrome design.

In-house movement boasts a lifespan of approximately 120 hours

The watch is powered by the in-house Cal. 32112 movement, which boasts a bidirectional ratchet automatic winding mechanism and an impressive power reserve of approximately 120 hours. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, features a central seconds stop function, an antimagnetic soft-iron inner case, and a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating that is resistant to drops in air pressure.

Both practicality and comfort

The case is just 11.4mm thick, making it both durable and comfortable for everyday use. Its water resistance of 10 bar makes it suitable for everyday wear as well as flights.

A three-hand model marks a new chapter in the "Lake Tahoe" collection

The Pilot's Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun "Lake Tahoe" is an elegant addition to the Lake Tahoe collection, which previously consisted only of chronographs and Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendars. It officially joins IWC's classic collection and is priced at 1,272,700 yen.
