Girard-Perregaux regained global popularity with the 2017 Laureato. Japan was no exception, but due to the small production runs, there were few stores that stocked the brand, and opportunities to see the watches all at once were limited. However, on April 24, 2025, Girard-Perregaux opened its first boutique in Japan. The interior, which is unusual for a watch boutique, reflects Girard-Perregaux's philosophy of valuing long-term relationships with customers.

Unique comfort and service reflecting the Girard-Perregaux philosophy
On April 24, 2025, Girard-Perregaux opened its first boutique in Japan in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. The location is on Nagahori Street, where many boutiques are lined up. The two-story boutique, with a floor area of 44 square meters, not only displays 30 models, but also has a stock of 70 watches, including the back yard. This is undoubtedly the largest stock in Japan.

The concept of the boutique is to be a place where one can fully experience the Girard-Perregaux philosophy. To that end, the interior is decorated in the brand's colors of gold and wood, in keeping with existing boutiques. The emphasis on comfort rather than brand identity is typical of Girard-Perregaux, who places importance on relationships with their customers.
However, for its first boutique in Japan, Girard-Perregaux added a unique feature: a world map depicting the journey of François Perregaux, a member of the founding family, who traveled from Switzerland to Japan in 1860. Managing Director Marc Michel-Amadry explains this world-first initiative, saying, "We wanted to show our deep connection with Japan."

This boutique not only offers a full range of straps, but also offers instant strap replacement. The popular Laureato watches, including the 38mm and 42mm three-hand models and the 42mm chronograph, are also available for touch-and-try. Another unique service is the ability to touch the Laureato without the protective case.
The one-of-a-kind Girard-Perregaux Boutique Osaka puts hospitality and service at the forefront. It's a must-visit landmark for not only the owner but also any watch enthusiast, but be warned: if you stay long enough, you'll undoubtedly become captivated by the charm of Girard-Perregaux.
