The Seamaster Regatta is an ana-digi watch for sailing that was released by Omega in 2024. Martin Green, a watch writer and editor for the US edition of WatchTime, actually tried out this watch, which is equipped with many functions that are useful when sailing on a yacht. If you're interested in the functions of this watch, be sure to read on.

A multi-functional model that combines the tradition of analog-digital technology with the latest features.
Omega unveiled the Seamaster Regatta to coincide with the start of the 2024 America's Cup semi-finals in Barcelona, Spain. This watch was an unexpected arrival. Omega has a long tradition of "ana-digi" watches, combining analog and digital technology. This Regatta model does not share the Seamaster collection, but rather adopts design codes closer to the Speedmaster Professional X-33.

The new Seamaster Regatta is a watch whose true value can only be appreciated when worn. The first thing that catches your eye is its large 46.75mm diameter, but the actual fit is surprisingly well-balanced.
Even on my 17.8cm wrist, it looks only slightly larger than the 42mm Seamaster Professional Diver 300M, and Omega makes good use of the larger case size by arranging the information-packed displays in a well-organized layout.
The bezel and case maintain the Seamaster design, but are made of grade 5 titanium, which keeps the weight down appropriately.
Functions and structure specialized for racing

Quartz (Cal. 5701). Ti case (diameter 46.75 mm, thickness 15.6 mm). 50m water resistant. 1,144,000 yen (tax included).
This watch is designed as an instrument, and the four rubber buttons, one crown, and various displays on the dial may seem a little complicated at first, but operation is intuitive, and you will soon become adept at using each function.
Functions include a moon phase display that accurately indicates the age of the moon in either the northern or southern hemisphere, a chronograph, a nautical logbook, a thermometer, an accelerometer, three alarms, and a race countdown for regattas.
Many functions also feature audio notifications, allowing you to stay informed while sailing. The case is designed with an acoustic resonance cavity, which amplifies the volume of notification sounds.
Specifications and finishes for sailing
The strap is made of rubber and features Omega's signature quick-change system, so while a titanium bracelet isn't available, it can be quickly swapped out for a range of rubber straps in multiple colors.
The strap feels luxurious, and the connection to the case is meticulously finished, as is typical of Omega. The water resistance is 50m, which is modest compared to diver models, but this watch is designed for sailing, not diving. It is sufficient for swimming if the yacht capsizes, and any greater water resistance would be beyond its intended use.

The Seamaster Regatta also features Super-LumiNova and a clever backlight function: when the backlight is activated, the hands instantly move aside, making the digital display easier to read.
The battery life is approximately 30 months, which is quite long considering the extensive range of features, and is yet another reason why this watch stands out as a playful, technology-oriented model in the Seamaster collection.
This model is highly technical and has a clear purpose, setting it apart from general-purpose models like the Diver 300M. Because of its uniqueness, it is likely to appeal not only to regatta participants but also to a wide range of collectors.

This model was created for the 37th America's Cup, to be held in 2024, and Omega is involved in the tournament as the official timekeeper and also sponsors the New Zealand team.
The movement is a completely new design, and it is expected to be rolled out to other models in the future, including a titanium bracelet. The Omega Seamaster Regatta is priced at 1,144,000 yen (including tax) and is not a limited edition.
