Beneath the domed sapphire crystal is a deep black lacquered dial. This is hand-finished through a time-consuming and skill-intensive process in which multiple layers of natural lacquer, extracted from lacquer trees, are applied and polished to a mirror-like shine. The finish, which exudes a classic yet contemporary look, combines depth and delicacy.
High-quality design accentuated by gold accents
The dial is accented with gold tones, and features a railroad minute track, large Roman numeral indexes, a 24-hour subdial at 6 o'clock, and leaf-shaped hour and minute hands for enhanced legibility and decorativeness. The hands have a sandblasted matte finish, which, combined with the classic form, improves legibility while adding a soft touch to the overall image.
Stainless steel case and practicality
The case is made of stainless steel, 40.2 mm in diameter and 12.1 mm thick, and is treated with Seiko's proprietary coating, DiaShield. The exterior, featuring alternating polished and hairline finishes, is water resistant to 10 bar and combines a calm and sporty look.

Equipped with the highly reliable movement, Cal. 6R5H
The see-through case back reveals Seiko's in-house automatic movement, the Cal. 6R5H. This movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and boasts a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. It also boasts magnetic resistance of 4800 A/m and an accuracy of +25 to -15 seconds per day.
