Now in its second year since the partnership was formed, the collaboration models between H. Moser & Cie. and Alpine Motorsport have already reached a mature stage. Unlike watches that simply feature a logo or key colors, the two new models announced this year are ideal examples of collaboration models, created with the partners' usefulness in mind above all else.

H. Moser & Cie. x Alpine Motorsport collaboration model
The partnership with Alpine Motorsport was announced a year ago, in 2024. Given H. Moser's track record of collaborating with numerous brands up to that point, the partnership itself was not surprising. However, as H. Moser & Cie. has always been known for its surprising offerings, the statement made at the time - "The partnership will create an unprecedented platform for shared products and experiences driven by the innovation and technology of both brands' respective fields" - undoubtedly raised expectations for what was to come. And now, just over a year after the partnership announcement, the opportunity to own a timepiece born from this groundbreaking platform has arrived.

The two collaboration models announced are the "Streamliner Alpine Driver's Edition" and the "Streamliner Alpine Mechanic's Edition," which H. Moser & Cie. completed after asking itself, "How can we support the Alpine F1 team and endurance racing teams in their pursuit of precision and performance?" The former is an automatic chronograph model with a look that embodies the driver's desire to wear a stylish watch that rivals the team's F1 cars, while the latter is H. Moser & Cie.'s first connected watch, designed as a professional work tool for the mechanics who support the races behind the scenes.

In creating both models, close communication was held with driver Pierre Gasly, race team manager Rob Cherry, and the pit crew, and the possibilities for collaboration models that go beyond logo design were explored, providing something meaningful to the team. Of the directions that emerged from this process, the Mechanics Edition was particularly surprising.

This model uses a module from Swiss connected watchmaker Sequent, whose high-end standards were in line with H. Moser & Cie.'s philosophy and brand values. The company's products are known for being unique in that they feature an automatic winding mechanism with a rotor, despite being connected watches. However, the Mechanic Edition does not use this module, but instead incorporates a mechanism newly developed by Sequent for H. Moser & Cie.

Moreover, this product was stress-tested at the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix, held from April 11th to 13th. Team staff actually checked the operability, visibility, fit, etc. of the product during race preparation, pit stops, and briefings, so its usefulness is guaranteed.
Although watchmaking and motorsports are in different fields, these two timepieces could only have been born from the collaboration of two companies that both share a commitment to pushing the boundaries. This work, which perfectly embodies the wishes of its partners, is perhaps what a collaboration model should be.
It features a skeleton design with a hollowed-out rotor (rotating weight) positioned on the dial side.
