Seiko has added new variations to the popular 38mm mid-size model of the Seiko 5 Sports SKX. These are the blue dial "SBSA299" and the black dial "SBSA301." These new models feature understated and sophisticated color schemes that blend naturally with everyday outfits like jeans and sneakers while still maintaining a sporty presence.
Two color variations

The SBSA299 features a blue dial reminiscent of denim, making it a perfect pairing with jeans. The SBSA301, on the other hand, features a black dial with what appears to be a sunburst finish. The indices are framed with gold accents, giving the watch a subtle yet sparkling look.

The 38mm SKX model with a black dial, the "SBSA225," is already in the lineup, but it has a simple black dial and silver-rimmed indexes, giving it a more understated impression.
Both models feature Lumibrite coating on the indexes and hands to ensure visibility in dark places, and the crystal is made of Hardlex.
Appearance and movement
The stainless steel case measures 38mm in diameter and 12.1mm thick. Its 100m water resistance and robust three-row bracelet make it comfortable enough for everyday use. The dark aluminum insert on the bezel adds visual depth and accentuates the series' distinctive character.
The case back is screwed down and transparent. Inside it runs the automatic movement Cal. 4R36, which features a stop-seconds mechanism and a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism via the Magic Lever, ensuring a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. In addition to this automatic movement, the watch also features a day and date display, a crown at 4 o'clock, practical water resistance, and a robust bracelet, fulfilling all the characteristics of the Seiko 5.
