Parmigiani Fleurier's only freestanding boutique opens in Ginza

Parmigiani Fleurier has opened its flagship store, Parmigiani Fleurier Boutique Ginza, as the brand's only independent boutique. The store is located in 7-chome, southwest of Ginza, Tokyo, facing Chuo-dori. It is easily accessible and surrounded by many watch brand boutiques, making it an easy location for watch enthusiasts to visit.
The opening reception, held in August, saw CEO Guido Terreni visit Japan, and Kyogen performer Nomura Mansai was invited as a guest. This is because there are similarities between the essence that Nomura Mansai pursues in the traditional performing art of Kyogen and the Maison's approach to purity in watches. These similarities include a balance between tradition and innovation, an aesthetic that does not rely on extravagance, and an aesthetic sense that finds true value in the invisible. It is clear that the theme of establishing this "world's only independent boutique" is to widely and deeply communicate this aesthetic sense and the appeal of timepieces. Furthermore, it is clear that Ginza is an appropriate location, based on the idea that a mature market exists in Japan.
The exterior is based on a modern minimalist style with an urban design incorporating classical elements, reflecting the Maison's approach. As the sun sets, the lighting creates a soft gradation of light reminiscent of dawn, standing out on Ginza's main street. The interior is decorated in soft ivory and beige tones, and the lighting creates a gradation of color that changes from blue to amber on the walls. A hot air balloon motif also appears on the wall, expressing the Parmigiani Fleurier worldview. The approach of keeping the space simple and organized is in line with the minimalism that the brand advocates.
