He has such a strong love for his hometown that he was appointed the first "Shiga Hometown Tourism Ambassador."
Nishikawa Takanori, a native of Shiga Prefecture, has been hosting the prefecture's first large-scale outdoor rock festival, "Inazuma Rock Festival," every year since 2009. "I want to give back to my hometown through music," he said when he was appointed a tourism ambassador, and this rock festival is the embodiment of that desire.
The unique event design allows people to enjoy not only live performances by musicians, but also comedy stages, a kids' corner, local gourmet food, and more all day long, even if they don't have tickets for the paid zone. Music fans from all over the country attend the event, and it has attracted attention not only from within Japan but also from overseas as a success story that has brought about promotion for local tourist attractions and economic benefits for accommodation facilities.
Nishikawa is also serving as an ambassador for Shiga Prefecture's tourism campaign, "Sengoku Discovery Shiga and Lake Biwa." Images of the Sengoku warlord, Nishikawa Takanori, clad in original armor are featured in posters, tourist brochures, and promotional videos.
Upon taking up his role, he passionately expressed his feelings, saying, "I, Nishikawa Takanori, Shiga Hometown Tourism Ambassador, am a military commander this time! I will be excited to make 'Sengoku Discovery Shiga/Lake Biwa' a success. Please come to Shiga to 'discover' the new charms of the Sengoku period in Omi (Shiga)!"
Nishikawa Takanori, who is filled with such strong love for his hometown, was once voted the number one "Face of the Local Area" in a survey of 1000 Shiga residents. He has received such overwhelming support from the prefecture's residents that on a variety show, he was even jokingly teased, with some asking, "Could you become the governor of Shiga Prefecture in the future?", to which he responded in a way that didn't seem entirely opposed.
Leading the Japanese music scene as TMRevolution
Let's take a look back at Takanori Nishikawa's career. He made his major debut in 1991, and after "access" went on hiatus in 1995, he participated as a vocalist in Daisuke Asakura's solo single "BLACK OR WHITE?". The following year, in 1996, he began his solo project "TMRevolution," demonstrating his light-hearted speaking skills as a radio personality and on music talk variety shows.
Their heyday, when they were most popular both commercially and musically, is said to have been from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, when they were active as TMRevolution. However, they have recently been attracting attention again with their success at the bodybuilding competition "BEST BODY JAPAN" and their song being chosen to sing the theme song for the anime "A Country Old Man Becomes a Sword Saint," and they are showing such powerful activity that they are being called "a second heyday."
In 2008, he was appointed Shiga Prefecture's first "Shiga Hometown Tourism Ambassador," and the following year in 2009, he held the large-scale outdoor music festival "Inazuma Rock Festival" in Shiga Prefecture. He has also toured Europe and launched an indie record label, leading a fulfilling life.
His physical strength is surely the result of extraordinary hard work. He attends three training gyms and strictly manages his diet. He has been training for over 15 years, maintaining a body fat percentage of 9%, and is working hard to build a physique for his live performances.
Furthermore, when the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, they quickly took action to organize charity concerts to help the victims, and in addition to holding charity auctions, they also actively participated in volunteer activities, setting up donation corners at live concert venues.

Nishikawa Takanori, who showed off his impressive muscles with Nakayama Kinniku-kun in his own X, had some fans commenting, "I'm so happy to see my favorite Takanori's arms!" On his wrist, you can see the Grand Seiko "SBGC003."
This Spring Drive chronograph model was only available at authorized retailers like Master Shop. The case measures a generous 43.5mm in diameter, and the chronograph push buttons make for a striking presence, but they suit Takanori Nishikawa perfectly, with his large wrists matching the watch's size.
The watch is powered by the Cal. 9R86 movement, an automatic Spring Drive movement with chronograph and GMT functions. Launched in 2007, it is the world's most accurate spring-driven chronograph, equipped with a stopwatch function and boasting a power reserve of approximately 72 hours while maintaining high accuracy.
A massive watch suits a massive man.
The Grand Seiko SBGC003 packs a complex mechanism into a large case. This special model, available only at master shops, is a watch available only to select individuals. Seiko's unique mechanism, Spring Drive, produces precision that exceeds quartz and the beauty of mechanical movements. The combination of these two is a culmination of Japan's world-renowned technological prowess.

Automatic movement (Cal. 9R86). Power reserve: approximately 72 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 43.5 mm, thickness 16.1 mm). Water resistant to 10 bar.
The keyword that best describes the man known as Nishikawa Takanori is "stoic." His dedication to everything he does, from his music career to contributing to his local community and even charity work, is truly worthy of the word "massive."
On Nishikawa's wrist, the Grand Seiko must be ticking away quietly but powerfully. His well-trained body and the intricate mechanisms of the Grand Seiko. His love for Shiga and Japan's world-renowned watchmaking technology. The combination of these two is truly perfect.
Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of Takanori Nishikawa's debut as TMRevolution. This album will continue to support him as he strives for ever greater heights in both music and his contributions to his local community. We hope to see him continue to deliver even more spectacular performances.
