Bell & Ross' Top 5 Most Popular Models for 2025

Bell & Ross was founded in 1994 by Bruno Bellamich and Carlos Rosillo. The brand has produced many watches that pursue functional beauty, based on four fundamental principles: legibility, functionality, reliability, and high precision. Currently, the company has a manufacturing base in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, where it handles everything from watch development to assembly and final adjustments in-house, ensuring a strict quality control system.

The brand's signature design is reminiscent of an aircraft cockpit clock, established with the BR-01, released in 2005. This innovative style, combining squares and circles and surrounded by four screws, has evolved in many ways with the introduction of the downsized BR-03 and the urban, elegant BR-05, and has become an iconic design code that has greatly contributed to the brand's recognition.

In recent years, Bell & Ross has been expanding its lineup in various ways, including incorporating exclusive movements by Kenissi, launching unique skeleton models, and adopting cutting-edge materials. The use of ceramic is particularly noteworthy, as it is highly practical, scratch- and corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and enhances the ruggedness of a tool watch, making it one of the most popular specifications.

Below we present the top 5 most popular products based on the company's sales figures and unit price data.

5. BR-05 Skeleton Black Ceramic (Ref. BR05A-BL-SK-CE/SCE)

Coming in fifth place is the BR-05 Skeleton Black Ceramic from the BR-05 collection, which was launched in 2019.

BR-05 Skeleton Black Ceramic

Bell & Ross BR-05 Skeleton Black Ceramic Ref.BR05A-BL-SK-CE/SCE
Automatic movement (Cal. BR-CAL. 322-1). 25 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 54 hours. Ceramic case (diameter 41 mm, thickness 11.2 mm). Water resistant to 100 m. Price: 1,133,000 yen (tax included).

The BR-05 collection follows the design code of combining squares and circles, and has a stylish form in which the case and bracelet are integrated. With soft lines with rounded corners and a finish that combines polished and satin, it retains elements of a tool watch while establishing an elegant style that also complements urban styles.

The watch that made the list features a black ceramic exterior and a skeleton dial. The dial features a translucent sapphire crystal, revealing the black ruthenium-coated BR-CAL.322-1 movement. The applied indexes and hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent visibility day or night. The minute track has been omitted to complement the skeleton design, enhancing the sense of openness.

The case and bracelet are sharply defined by a combination of vertical hairline and polished finishes, and the all-black exterior gives a sophisticated impression. It also boasts practical specifications, such as 100m water resistance, common to many Bell & Ross collections, and a power reserve of approximately 54 hours.

4. BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic, Ref. BR03A-SK-CE/SRB

Next on the list is the BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic, which is based on the brand's classic BR-03 collection and features a newly designed skeleton movement.

BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic

Bell & Ross BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic Ref.BR03A-BL-SKCE/SRB
Automatic movement (Cal. BR-CAL. 328). 25 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 54 hours. Ceramic case (diameter 41 mm, thickness 10.6 mm). Water resistant to 100 m. Price: 946,000 yen (tax included).

The BR-03 collection is a downsized version of the brand's milestone BR-01, downsized to a more user-friendly 42mm diameter. This classic collection offers a wide range of options, including a variety of colorways and models incorporating unique designs related to the world of aviation. Furthermore, in 2023, the design will be further revamped, including a further downsizing to 41mm.

The BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic, part of this collection, features a black ceramic case and a skeleton dial, which is set against a smoked sapphire crystal. The dial features thick hands, line indexes, and Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12, making it highly legible.

Of particular note is the Caliber BR-CAL 328 that can be seen through the dial. This watch features a unique skeleton design with four double arms forming an X-shape, giving the classic Bell & Ross dial design a contemporary and avant-garde look. Furthermore, this X-shape design creates a visual harmony with the square case and the screws at the four corners of the bezel.

The case is microblasted, giving it a matte finish that accentuates the dial. The watch comes with a black rubber strap and an interchangeable black Velcro strap, allowing you to change up the look of your watch.

3rd Place: BR 05 Black Ceramic, Ref. BR05A-BL-CE/SCE

Coming in third place is the black ceramic model of the BR-05, which retains its elegant design codes while adding a jet black case and bracelet.

BR-05 Black Ceramic

Bell & Ross "BR-05 Black Ceramic" Ref.BR05A-BL-CE/SCE
Automatic movement (Cal. BR-CAL. 321-1). 25 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 54 hours. Ceramic case (diameter 41 mm, thickness 11.2 mm). Water resistant to 100 m. Price: 1,133,000 yen (tax included).

The dial features a sunray-finish black finish. The silver-rimmed hands and applied indexes create a contrast with the dial, enhancing readability. It also features a date display at 3 o'clock and a minute track around the outer periphery, giving it a more rugged and sturdy look compared to the skeleton models we've ranked so far.

Another noteworthy feature of this and other BR-05 black ceramic models is the high level of finish on the exterior. Ceramics are generally considered difficult to process, but the watch is polished to the same satin and polished finish as the stainless steel model. This creates a hard luster unique to ceramic on the all-black exterior, creating a three-dimensional, deep aesthetic.

Incidentally, the stainless steel model of the BR-05 is 40mm in diameter, but this and other black ceramic models are specially designed for a slightly larger diameter of 41mm, which takes into consideration the visual effect of making black objects appear smaller, allowing the watch to be worn with a similar feel to the stainless steel model.

2nd Place: BR-05 Black Steel (Ref. BR05A-BL-ST/SST)

A major topic for the BR-05 collection in 2025 will likely be the addition of the smallest 36mm model. Coming in second in the popularity rankings is the classic black dial model from the first release of this compact BR-05.

BR-05 Black Steel

Bell & Ross "BR-05 Black Steel" Ref.BR05A-BL-ST/SST
Automatic movement (BR-CAL.321). 28,800 vph. Power reserve: approximately 54 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 36mm, thickness 8.5mm). Water resistant to 100m. Price: 649,000 yen (tax included).

This 36mm model is a downsizing from the previous 40mm model while maintaining functionality. Another notable feature is that the case thickness has been slimmed down to 8.5mm. These refined proportions were designed to reach a wider range of users, and fit even the slenderest wrists of both men and women.

The sunray-finished dial has been resized to fit the case, and the date display and minute track from the previous model have been omitted. However, the applied indexes and sharp hour and minute hands remain, retaining the stoicism of a tool watch. In addition, the case and bracelet have been optimized for the small size, but with a skillful surface finish that creates a clear texture. Furthermore, the 100m water resistance has been maintained unchanged.

According to the Japanese subsidiary of Bell & Ross, "Although the 36mm BR-05 received a great response, we were unable to fully utilize the sales opportunity due to a lack of stock, and we believe there is still a lot of room for growth in the future." If supply stabilizes, this collection has a high chance of making it into next year's rankings.

No. 1: BR 03 Black Matte, Ref. BR03A-BL-CE/SRB

Taking the top spot in the prestigious popularity ranking is the flagship model BR-03, the "BR-03 Black Matte." Like many of the models in the ranking, this model has an all-black appearance, but its emphasis on military style has made it very popular.

BR-03 BLACK MATTE

Bell & Ross BR-03 BLACK MATTE Ref.BR03A-BL-CE/SRB
Automatic movement (BR-CAL.302-1). 28,800 vph. Power reserve: 54 hours. Ceramic case (diameter 41mm, thickness 10.6mm). Water resistant to 100m. Price: 616,000 yen (tax included).

What's particularly noteworthy about this model is the complete absence of gloss from the watch. The micro-blasted black ceramic case is combined with a matte dial to minimize the impact of light reflections on readability. The crown, like other BR-03 models, is also knurled, allowing for easy operation even while wearing gloves.

The dial features a classic black layout, and the white luminous indexes and hands create a striking presence against the otherwise black background. The movement is equipped with the upgraded Cal.BR-CAL.302 movement, which was released in 2023, and features a date function suitable for everyday use and a power reserve of approximately 54 hours.

Overall, this model boasts the functionality befitting a tool watch, a powerful look, and sophisticated functional beauty. Also, with a relatively affordable price tag of around 600,000 yen, it's the perfect entry-level watch for those wanting to experience the allure of Bell & Ross.

We spoke to a Bell & Ross spokesperson

When we spoke to a Bell & Ross public relations representative about the results of this ranking, they stated, "The top five models were closely matched, with no model standing out as the top choice, so overall the results were very balanced."

The report also notes that while limited edition models continued to rank below fifth place, the top five were all standard models. Considering that two new models made the list, it not only highlights the popularity of the brand's core collection, but also suggests that the new styles proposed by the brand are steadily gaining popularity among fans.

In terms of price range, the top two models in the 600,000 yen (tax included) range drove sales numbers significantly, but "models over 900,000 yen (tax included) also performed well, with the popularity of the black color and ceramic material standing out." The bold and tough model made of high-tech ceramics appears to have captured the hearts of many users.

In addition to the popularity of its established classic models, Bell & Ross has also seen growing demand for its higher-priced and new size models. The 2025 rankings highlight the brand's multifaceted appeal.
