Speak through color, captivate through subtraction. The Oyster Perpetual, Rolex's origin and core model, is released in 2025 in matte pastel colors. The muted hues of pistachio green, beige, and lavender are a departure from the vibrant color palette of recent years, highlighting the texture and perfection of the watch itself. The "true face" of Rolex emerges when the decoration and mechanism are stripped away. This new model eloquently speaks to its current state.

A touch of pastel in a quiet classic

If you want to understand the essence of a brand, it's best to look at its flagship model. No complications, no excessive references to heritage. Just the pure essence. At Rolex, that's the Oyster Perpetual. For nearly 100 years, it has defined "everyday wear" in watchmaking.

In 2025, this icon will be available in matte pastel colors: pistachio green for the 41mm, beige for the 36mm, and lavender for the 28mm.

Rolex is often underrated

The Oyster Perpetual is often called the "entry Rolex," but this name misses the point. It's here, in fact, that the Rolex DNA is most clearly evident: technically, there's no compromise, and yet there's no pretense whatsoever.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual

Rolex "Oyster Perpetual 41" Ref. 134300
Automatic winding (Cal. 3230). 27 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 70 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 41mm). Water resistant to 100m.

The Oystersteel cases, water-resistant to 100 meters, are crafted from an alloy developed exclusively by Rolex, making them robust yet understated. Inside are the manufacture's proven calibers: the 28mm model is powered by the Caliber 2232, which offers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours, while the 36mm and 41mm models are equipped with the Caliber 3230, which offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.

Both movements are certified as "Superior Chronometers," which means they maintain a high level of accuracy of -2 to +2 seconds per day on a daily basis.

There is no date display, no Cyclops lens, no rotating bezel, and no extravagant decoration. What is there is technical perfection condensed into the most honest form for the Rolex brand.

Pastel, but not light

Rolex has been experimenting with color in recent years—from vibrant coral reds to turquoise reminiscent of Tiffany Blue—but the new Oyster Perpetual exudes a more mature feel.

Automatic winding (Cal. 2232). 31 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 55 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 28mm). Water resistant to 100m.

The pistachio green is more subdued than the "candy colors" seen in recent years, the beige is as natural as summer linen, and the lavender brings a poetic nuance to the collection.

The matte finish is particularly effective: it reduces the pop and instead highlights the texture. When worn on the wrist, it feels more like wearing the fabric, the surface, the material itself, rather than just a piece of jewelry.

The new Oyster Perpetual comes in three sizes and three colors: 41mm pistachio green, 36mm beige, and 28mm lavender. Each size has its own unique character. The choice of size itself is a style choice: the striking 41mm, the versatile 36mm, and the airy 28mm. The new colors are also reflected in the 31mm and 34mm sizes, unifying the color palette of the entire collection.

Pistachio green, with its subtle shimmer on the skin, is a contemporary reinterpretation of classic Rolex DNA, while the Oyster Perpetual 36 in warm beige, with its matte finish lending it the refinement to make it highly versatile for everyday wear.
