The King Seiko "Banack" now comes with its first leather strap. The new SDKV013 and SDKV015, scheduled for release in January 2026, are based on the theme of "Tokyo Horizon," and the dial colors express Tokyo as a city and the natural atmosphere that lies within. This new variation will significantly change the impression of the Banack, which has previously only been available with a metal bracelet.

King Seiko's first leather strap

Seiko has introduced the King Seiko Banac with a leather strap for the first time. The new SDKV013 and SDKV015 models are themed around "Tokyo Horizon," combining the urban character of the metropolis with elements of nature.

Up until now, the Banac has only been available with a metal bracelet, so the addition of two leather strap models is no small change, as the adoption of leather straps gives the series a completely different feel.

King Seiko "Banack"

Seiko "King Seiko Bannack" Ref. SDKV013
Automatic movement (Cal. 8L45). 35 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 41.0 mm, thickness 14.3 mm). Water resistant to 10 bar. Price: 385,000 yen (tax included). Scheduled for release in January 2026.

The SDKV013 features a deep brown dial reminiscent of wood and the earth, while the SDKV015 features a rich dark green dial. At first glance, the earthy and plant-like tones are inspired by Japan's capital, Tokyo. While Tokyo is home to countless buildings, it also has a surprising number of green spaces and shady areas where you can quietly relax.

Automatic movement (Cal. 8L45). 35 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 41.0 mm, thickness 14.3 mm). Water resistant to 10 bar. Price: 385,000 yen (tax included). Scheduled for release in January 2026.

The colors of the leather straps have also been carefully chosen: the green dial SDKV015 is paired with a black strap, while the SDKV013 is fitted with a dark brown strap that matches the dial.

The angular stainless steel case, measuring 41mm in diameter (45.1mm lug-to-lug distance) and 14.3mm thick, remains unchanged from the first four models released in spring 2025. The dial design remains the same, with pentagonal indices, a line-decorated dial center and minute track, a prominent date display, and a V-shaped tip of the central seconds hand. These details can be seen through a box-shaped sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inside.

The screw-lock crown and see-through screw-back ensure water resistance to 10 bar. The movement is the automatic Cal. 8L45, with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Accuracy is adjusted to within +10 to -5 seconds per day.

Both models are priced at 385,000 yen (tax included). They are scheduled to be released in January 2026 as exclusive models for Seiko Watch Salons.
