A pure dress watch to mark the 250th anniversary of the company's founding

This new model of the Classique 5177 achieves a simpler design by eliminating the date display. It features Breguet's signature design codes, including Breguet hands, Breguet numeral indexes, and coin-edge decoration on the case side. Automatic movement (Cal. 7775). 26 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve of approximately 55 hours. 18KRG case (38mm diameter, 8.8mm thick). Water resistant to 3 bar. Price: 4,224,000 yen (tax included).
"Classique" means a timeless masterpiece that will never go out of style. The Breguet Classique 5177 is a watch that truly lives up to its name. With a Grand Feu enamel dial, a round case with coin-edged decoration, and straight welded lugs, each element is timeless, but when combined, they create a unique harmony. Its appearance is like a bridge connecting the 250 years between Breguet's founding in 1775 and the present day.
Now, a much-anticipated new addition to the classic 5177 has arrived. Featuring a sleek black Grand Feu enamel dial and silver Breguet numeral indexes, this model surprisingly lacks a date display. With the exception of a few limited edition models, the 5177 has always featured a date display as standard. For fans of a pure dress watch, the arrival of this model is surely good news.

Apart from the absence of a date display, the design remains the same as previous models. A secret sign is placed at the 6 o'clock position, and the iconic Breguet hands leisurely indicate the time. The slim 18K rose gold case fits neatly under a shirt cuff, and the sharp coin edges add just the right amount of tension to the soft look.
The movement, exposed through the caseback, features a rotor with a wave pattern and bridges with striped and chamfered edges, showcasing traditional craftsmanship, while the silicon escapement provides the watch with high specifications befitting a modern model.
It's not particularly popular, nor does it fall into obscurity. It simply stands the test of time. That's what makes it a classic.
