A limited edition lid model of the Oceanus Manta, with a motif of the sea at night illuminated by moonlight.

The OCEANUS Manta OCW-SG1000CN-1AJR and OCEANUS Manta OCW-S7000CN-1AJF are limited edition models based on the theme of "CALM NIGHT," which means a quiet night, incorporating design codes inspired by the ocean of OCEANUS and featuring a motif of the sea at night illuminated by moonlight.

The Oceanus Manta OCW-SG1000CN-1AJR is a model that uses Gallium Tough Solar technology, which is a wristwatch adaptation of the solar cell technology installed on JAXA's small lunar landing demonstration vehicle, SLIM. Compared to conventional Tough Solar, it has extremely high power generation efficiency and makes it possible to miniaturize the solar cell. In this model, the solar cell is placed only on the outer edge of the dial, freeing it from the constraints of dial expression.

The dial features a textured metal design with a motif of the unevenness and shadows on the moon's surface, and is paired with a black DLC-treated titanium exterior that matches the dial. The bezel is made of Edo Kiriko glass with its attractive sharp edges.

The Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000CN-1AJF is a limited edition model incorporating a similar design concept. The bezel was overseen by Toru Horiguchi, a traditional craftsman and third-generation "Shuseki" of Horiguchi Kiriko. The moonlight and the sparkle of the sea reflecting it are expressed using the traditional "Sensuji" cut glass pattern. This cutting is applied from the back of the bezel, and the gradation is achieved by applying a silver vapor deposition followed by a black vapor deposition from above and a silver vapor deposition from below.
