The watch features a non-date dial with three subdials, and a tachymeter that can measure speed is placed around the outer periphery. It has a "glass box" design, allowing you to enjoy the three-dimensional shape of the raised tachymeter and sapphire crystal.

The glass box crystal allows a clear view of the dial, right down to the flange, even from the side of the watch.

The stainless steel case is 41mm in diameter, a rather modest size for a chronograph watch. In addition to the sharp lugs and pump-style pushers, the clean, elegant design without a bezel makes it easy to wear both on and off the job.

The seven-link stainless steel bracelet is a modern reinterpretation of the classic Beads of Rice design. It is made up of short links, providing a flexible fit.

The movement is the in-house automatic chronograph Cal. TH20-01, and you can admire the movement of the column wheel and the striped decoration on the bridge.

This new model is a modern reinterpretation of the Seafarer, a tidal measurement watch first released in 1949. It is equipped with the newly developed automatic chronograph movement, Cal. TH20-04, which is equipped with a tidal display mechanism.

The vintage-style beige dial features a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, a date display and small seconds at 6 o'clock, and a tide disc at 9 o'clock. The tide disc can be set using a push button located at 9 o'clock on the side of the case, and the timing of high and low tides is indicated by a color-coded disc and scale.

The hour and minute hands, the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and the tide indicator at 9 o'clock are colored Intrepid Teal, a color inspired by the 1967 America's Cup-winning yacht Intrepid, which inspired Jack Heuer to create his original Skipper Chronograph the following year. The color complements the dark yellow and yellow gold-plated indices.

Like recent Carrera models, this model also features a "glass box" design, allowing you to enjoy a classic style. The 42mm stainless steel case is also in keeping with the stylish design that is symbolic of the Carrera, and together with the seven-link bracelet, it can be worn in a wide range of situations. Another attractive feature is the see-through back, allowing you to enjoy the movement and finish.

"Tag Heuer Carrera Split Seconds Chronograph"

TAG Heuer "TAG Heuer Carrera Split Seconds Chronograph" Ref. CDD2180.FT8120
Automatic movement (Cal. TH81-01). 52 jewels. 36,000 vph. Power reserve approximately 65 hours. Ti case (42mm diameter). Water resistant to 30m. Estimated price: 22,286,000 yen (tax included).

This is the first Carrera collection model to feature a split-seconds chronograph. The sapphire crystal dial allows the user to view the movement housed within. The 30-minute counter is located at 3 o'clock, the small seconds at 6 o'clock, and the 12-hour counter at 12 o'clock, with the hands of the counters colored red for improved readability. Another notable feature is the adoption of the iconic "glass box" design, which enhances the overall three-dimensional effect.

It has no outer bezel, and the tachymeter and other scales are located on the flange of the dial, giving it a clean exterior.

The chronograph can be started and stopped with the pusher at 2 o'clock and reset with the pusher at 4 o'clock. Normally, the central chronograph second hand is a pair of overlapping red and white hands, but by pressing the pusher at 9 o'clock, which is integrated into the case design, the split-seconds function can be used.

The 42mm diameter case is made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant grade 5 titanium, with a predominantly hairline finish and polished finish in places for a three-dimensional look.

The movement can be viewed through the caseback, and is hand-finished with high-end craftsmanship, including a checkered flag motif pattern created using the grâté technique and black polished screws.
