Louis Vuitton has announced five new models in its "Escale" collection. Based on the 2014 "Escale World Time," the Escale collection will be established in 2024. The collection features world time and dual time watches that evoke a sense of travel, as well as minute repeaters, all of which make full use of the company's technological capabilities.

Louis Vuitton's "Escale" line introduces five new items
Louis Vuitton offers a variety of travel-themed items, including trunks. In the area of watches, the brand launched the Tambour in 2002 and has gradually expanded its collection. In 2014, it established the watchmaking atelier La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva, Switzerland. The movements and watches produced there have attracted the attention of watch enthusiasts around the world.
This year, the company has added five new models to its Escalette collection. Based on the Escalette World Time, which was released in 2014, the Escalette collection was added to the lineup in 2024 and has already become recognized as a representative model of the company alongside the Tambour. The collection includes masterpieces that make full use of the company's watchmaking technology, including world time and dual time models that evoke a sense of travel, and even minute repeaters.

The "Escale World Time" is now available in a platinum case. It features the brand's signature design throughout. Automatic movement (Cal. LFT VO12.01). 35 jewels. 28,800 vph. The world time model, released in 2014, is now available in a platinum case. The ring around the dial is decorated with 24 vibrant flags representing major cities around the world. Each flag is individually hand-painted by artisans using the miniature painting technique. A 24-hour ring, color-coded for day and night, is attached inside, and a single hand is placed in the center. The blue disc in the center has a grained finish that replicates the texture of Monogram canvas.
The time is indicated by a triangular pointer at 12 o'clock and the 24-hour ring, while the minutes are read by a central hand. At the same time, the time in various cities around the world can be seen through the city ring, making this a design and function that exudes a sense of travel.
The platinum case measures 40mm in diameter and 10.3mm thick, making it an ideal size for everyday use. The lugs and other details are inspired by Louis Vuitton's miniature trunks. The case back is set with a single saffron-colored sapphire and an 18K rose gold plate engraved with the watch's serial number, adding a special touch. The see-through case back allows visitors to view the newly developed Cal. LFT VO12.01 movement, which features an 18K rose gold rotor.

This model follows the design codes of the Escale World Time and is equipped with a central tourbillon. The city ring around the dial is handcrafted by artisans using Grand Feu enamel. Each color is applied individually and fired more than 40 times in five different layers at temperatures between 730°C and 840°C, resulting in a lustrous texture and vibrant color.
At its center is the star-shaped Monogram Flower Tourbillon, whose gracefully curved carriage rotates gently, allowing viewers to enjoy the sight. The time is read using a triangular pointer and hands, just like on the Escale World Time.
The 40mm diameter platinum case is just 12.8mm thick despite the complex movement. It features a striking finish that combines polished and brushed finishes. The case back is set with a single saffron-colored sapphire and an 18K rose gold plate engraved with the watch's serial number. A see-through case back allows for viewing of the movement within.
"Escale Twin Zone" Ref.W3PG71
This dual-time watch uses four central hands to display the time in two different time zones down to the minute. The thick hour and minute hands indicate local time, while the skeleton hour and minute hands indicate home time. Automatic movement (Cal. LFT VO15.01). 26 jewels. 28,800 vph. This dual time watch joins the Escal collection. Equipped with four central hands, it simultaneously displays the time in two different time zones. While typical GMT watches have a GMT hand to indicate the time in the second time zone and a shared minute hand for home and local time, this model features an independent minute hand, allowing it to be set to any time zone around the world, including those with non-standard time differences from Coordinated Universal Time.
The watch's bold hour and minute hands indicate local time, while the skeleton hour and minute hands indicate home time, making it difficult to confuse the two. The dial features a globe and a three-dimensional finish created by combining sunburst and satin finishes. A day/night indicator is located at the 12 o'clock position, allowing you to tell the time at a glance.
The 40mm case is crafted from 18K rose gold, and the case back is fitted with an 18K white gold plate engraved with the serial number, allowing a view of the movement inside through sapphire crystal.
"Escale Twin Zone Diamond" Ref.W3PT61
A gorgeous dual-time watch set with a total of 302 diamonds. It features an aventurine glass dial reminiscent of the night sky. Automatic (Cal. LFT VO15.01). 26 jewels. 28,800 vph. The Escale Twin Zone lineup also includes the dazzling jeweled model "Escale Twin Zone Diamond." This groundbreaking dual-time watch displays local time with thick hour and minute hands and home time with skeleton hour and minute hands, allowing each time to be set to the minute. A day/night indicator is located at the 12 o'clock position to distinguish between day and night.
The deep blue dial is crafted from aventurine glass, its granular sparkle evoking the magical night sky. Set against the periphery are 120 baguette-cut diamonds, highlighting the 18K white gold indexes.
The platinum case is set with baguette-cut diamonds on the top of the bezel and the side of the middle case, and a rose-cut diamond on the crown, allowing you to enjoy its brilliance from every angle. The case back is fitted with a platinum plate engraved with one saffron-colored sapphire and the serial number.
The blue calf leather strap is fitted with a folding clasp set with 11 baguette-cut diamonds.
"Escale Minute Repeater" Ref.W3PGA0
This complication watch features a minute repeater, jumping hour, and retrograde minutes. The slider for the minute repeater is designed to harmonize with the lug design. Manually wound (Cal. This minute repeater model embodies the Maison's watchmaking savoir-faire. The dial center features hand-guilloched decoration, and a small circular window at 6 o'clock displays the jumping hours. A railway minute marker stretches from 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock, allowing the minutes to be read in conjunction with a central 18K rose gold hand. The minute display utilizes a retrograde mechanism, and when the hand reaches 60, it instantly jumps back to zero.
The 40mm case is crafted from 18K rose gold. The polished bezel adds elegance, while the satin-finished case sides create a sharp impression. The design, including lugs inspired by trunk hardware and an octagonal crown, is reminiscent of Louis Vuitton's worldview. The slider for activating the minute repeater blends seamlessly into the lug design. The watch is fitted with a beige calfskin strap that matches the color of the dial.
The movement, which is equipped with a minute repeater, jumping hours, and retrograde minutes, can be viewed through the see-through case back. Because it is a manual-winding watch, you can fully enjoy the hand-finishing work of artisans and the movements of the hammer and governor.
