[Results Announcement] Readers' Choice: "Masterpiece Ceramic Watches". 3rd place: Omega, 2nd place: IWC... Which brand took first place?

In conjunction with the regular feature in the Japanese edition of Chronos magazine, we've launched the "Chronos Top 10 Watches Rankings," where readers choose their favorites. This time, the theme is "Masterpiece Ceramic Watches." We present the voting results along with the comments we received.

The much anticipated results are announced!

　The Chronos Top 10 Watches Rankings is a regular feature of the Japanese edition of Chronos. Each judge selects 10 recommended models based on a theme. From these, the top 10 are determined based on the votes cast. The reader rankings are created by having webChronos readers choose their number one from the top 10 and vote for them.

　This month's theme is "The Number One Ceramic Watch." Ceramics, with its high hardness, scratch resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance, is an ideal material for watches. On the other hand, it is difficult to manufacture and process, making it challenging to give it a wide range of colors or apply high-end finishes. However, in recent years, there has been an increase in high-end ceramic watches from various companies that offer a variety of colors and advanced finishes. Chronos Japan solicited rankings of outstanding ceramic watches that reflect the efforts of these companies. The results were compiled from votes received from webChronos readers between April 5th and 11th, 2026.

　While we usually publish the top 10 results, some models were somewhat niche or received few or no votes, so we will only list the top 5 this time. However, many people commented that "there was no ceramic model that they supported," which also suggests that this market is expanding. Compared to the ranking by our magazine's selectors, models that have moved up in rank are marked with an upward arrow, models that have moved down are marked with a downward arrow, and models that have the same rank are marked with a right arrow before the headline.

The Grey Side of the Moon has an incredible shine that you wouldn't expect from ceramic, and the engraving that mimics the surface of the moon is absolutely stunning. It's large in size, but the fact that it's made of ceramic makes it surprisingly lightweight.
I used to own one, and Omega's ceramic is truly excellent. Not only is it scratch-resistant, but it also has great color payoff and high quality. You can really see the Swatch Group's dedication in it!
The Grey Side of the Moon was good. However, although they weren't among the options, I personally rate the IWC Ingenieur and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe full ceramic highly.
