Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026, which began on April 12, 2026, saw Laurent Ferrier release the "Sports Traveler." This timepiece retains the company's signature high quality, including its elaborate finishing, while also featuring a newly developed movement.

　Laurent Ferrier's new "Sports Traveler" is a modern reinterpretation of the traveler mechanism that the company has cultivated over the years. The origin of this mechanism lies in the Cal. LF230.02, which features a natural escapement and was installed in the "Classic Traveler" released in 2013. This movement was characterized by its high efficiency due to its double impulse structure and its high practicality, such as the ability to instantly adjust the local time with a push button. In this new model, while inheriting that philosophy, it has been modified to a Swiss lever escapement, which is more durable and stable, and is noteworthy for ensuring reliability suitable for everyday use.

　The newly developed automatic movement Cal. LF275.01 employs an off-center micro-rotor, achieving efficient winding within a limited space. The rotor is made of platinum and sandwiched between the mainplate and bridge, enhancing winding efficiency and shock resistance. Furthermore, the incorporation of unidirectional winding ball bearings ensures the robustness required for sports models.

　In terms of functionality, a push button located on the left side of the case allows the hour hand of the local time display to be adjusted forward or backward in one-hour increments. A major advantage is that the time can be adjusted without stopping the movement, allowing for quick time zone changes while maintaining accuracy. The watch features a home time display at the 9 o'clock position and a date display at the 3 o'clock position, with the date synchronized with the local time for practical use.
