A titanium diver's watch that's versatile enough for everything from diving to everyday wear.

As summer approaches, diver's watches gradually find themselves making more use. Originally developed as specialized timepieces for divers, diver's watches have become popular with the general public along with the rise of marine sports, and today it's not uncommon to see them in business settings.

The reasons behind its popularity are its excellent water resistance and robustness, as well as its ability to instantly tell the time. These features make it highly practical not only underwater but also in everyday life. In addition, the powerful design, exemplified by the rotating bezel and thick hands, has undoubtedly contributed to its popularity.

On the other hand, ensuring high water resistance requires a robust case that can withstand strong water pressure, which naturally makes the watch itself large, thick, and heavy. From the perspective of wearing comfort, diver's watches are at a disadvantage.

However, there is a material that not only overcomes these disadvantages but also further improves practicality: titanium. Lightweight titanium makes even thick cases feel less heavy, and its inherent corrosion resistance provides high resistance to corrosion from seawater. Another advantage is that it is less likely to cause metal allergies.

Titanium, once difficult to finish to achieve a luxurious look, has now gained the aesthetic appeal suitable for high-end watches thanks to advancements in processing technology and the widespread availability of Grade 5 titanium alloys. Let's take a look at titanium diver's watches, which feature robust cases adorned with a light and airy feel.

Grand Seiko unveiled this compact diver's watch, equipped with a Spring Drive movement, as part of its 2026 new lineup. The case and bracelet are made of Bright Titanium, a proprietary titanium alloy that shines just as brightly as stainless steel. Despite being a diver's watch, it possesses the aesthetic beauty befitting a luxury timepiece, including a distortion-free mirror finish achieved through Grand Seiko's signature Zaratsu polishing. It is approximately 30% lighter than stainless steel and boasts excellent corrosion and scratch resistance.

The case diameter is 40.8mm. The sharp design is based on Grand Seiko's design language, "Evolution 9 Style." The bracelet employs a slide-lock extender system with a micro-adjustment mechanism, making it suitable for a wide range of situations, from fine-tuning in daily life to wearing it over a wetsuit while diving.

The non-date dial features details that enhance visibility and legibility, such as wide indices and an arrow-shaped minute hand. A power reserve indicator is located at the 7 o'clock position, allowing for a visual assessment of the remaining mainspring. The stamped dial, which expresses the dynamism of the currents surrounding Japan, shimmers like the surface of the sea whenever light hits it. The bezel insert is made of scratch-resistant ceramic.

The Cal.9RB1 movement it uses is a UFA (Ultra Fine Accuracy) Spring Drive movement that achieves high precision with an annual deviation of ±20 seconds.

Among the "Seamaster Diver 300M" models, which are characterized by their sporty design, the collaboration models with the "007" film series are particularly popular. The model introduced here is the one that appeared as the "Bond watch" in "No Time to Die," and is characterized by its vintage-inspired design, which sets it apart from other models.

The aluminum dial is brown, with a texture that resembles black that has faded from sun exposure. The bar and dot indices, skeletonized hour and minute hands, and lollipop-shaped second hand are coated with a dark beige Super-LumiNova that also evokes the appearance of aging. At the 6 o'clock position is the Broad Arrow, indicating that it is a British military issue item. The aluminum bezel insert is also unified in the same color scheme.

The case boasts 300m water resistance, and the vintage-inspired mesh bracelet is crafted from Grade 2 titanium. The matte finish adds a utilitarian, military-watch feel. A helium escape valve for saturation diving is located at the 10 o'clock position, and the smooth curves of the crown guard and twisted lugs are iconic design features of the Seamaster Diver 300M. The case back is engraved with the Broad Arrow, and the unique Naiad Lock ensures that the engraving is always perfectly aligned.

The movement is the in-house automatic Cal. 8806. It is Master Chronometer certified and boasts high precision, magnetic resistance, and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours.

A high-spec diver's watch boasting 1000m water resistance. Equipped with a mechanism to lock the rotating bezel, allowing for safe measurement of dive time. Automatic movement (Cal. Breitling 10). 25 jewels. 28,800 vibrations/hour. Power reserve approximately 42 hours. Titanium case (46mm diameter, 14.515mm thickness). 1000m water resistance. ¥995,500 (tax included). Breitling is strongly associated with pilot watches, but its Superocean diver's watch line is also noteworthy. The inspiration for its latest model comes from the Superocean Slow Motion, which debuted in the 1960s. The original was a chronograph diver's watch with a square-shaped pointer to measure elapsed time, but the modern version has eliminated the chronograph and is offered as a simple three-hand model. While the Superocean is available in a variety of sizes, the one that deserves attention is the Superocean Automatic 46 Superdiver, characterized by its impressive 46mm diameter case.

The camouflage green dial creates a casual look suitable for leisure activities, while the distinctive minute hand, large indices, and minute track on a white ring allow you to check the time at a glance, even underwater.

The bezel, used for measuring dive time, rotates in both directions. While typical diver's watch bezels have a unidirectional rotation prevention mechanism, this model features a lock at the 9 o'clock position on the case that prevents rotation in either direction. The bezel insert is made of ceramic, making it resistant to aging and scratches.

The case and bracelet, polished and brushed in different finishes, are made of titanium. It boasts an impressive water resistance of 1000 meters, and the case houses a soft iron inner case to protect the movement from magnetism. The movement is the Cal. Breitling 10, based on a general-purpose movement.

The Oris Aquis Pro 1000M is a professional diver's watch featuring a massive 49.5mm diameter case. As its name suggests, this watch boasts a water resistance of 1000m. Despite its robust construction to withstand high water pressure, the use of titanium in the case makes it lightweight and easy to use. The short lugs, which enhance the sense of unity with the strap, and the gray PVD coating make it appear even more compact than its actual size.

The dial features a simple layout with 12 neatly arranged indices and a date display at the 6 o'clock position. A wave pattern and a light blue second hand provide accents. The rotating bezel, set with a dark blue ceramic insert, is equipped with an RSS (Rotation Safety System) locking mechanism, enhancing safety during diving.

All the indices, the three hands, and the bezel markings are coated with Super-LumiNova, allowing you to clearly read the time in the dark or underwater. The minute hand and the bezel markings up to 15 minutes glow blue, while the rest glow green, making it possible to instantly grasp the time spent underwater.
The game comes with two types of rubber straps, black and blue, and the ability to switch them out is another appealing feature.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatic

Blancpain "Fifty Fathoms Automatic" Ref. 5007 12B40 O52B
The long-awaited smaller-diameter "Fifty Fathoms" now features a Grade 23 titanium case. Automatic movement (Cal. 1150). 28 jewels. 21,600 vibrations/hour. Power reserve approximately 100 hours. Titanium case (38.2mm diameter, 12mm thickness). 30 ATM water resistance. ¥2,761,000 (tax included). (Inquiries) Blancpain Boutique Ginza Tel. 03-6254-7233

Born in 1953, Blancpain's "Fifty Fathoms" laid the foundation for modern diver's watches. For a long time, the regular model featured a somewhat large 45mm diameter case, but in 2025, 42mm and 38mm case models were introduced, making the collection more wearable for men and women with slender wrists.

This time, we're introducing a model with a 38mm diameter case and a blue dial. The dazzling sunray finish and the glossy sapphire crystal covering the bezel give it a luxurious feel befitting a high-end watch. At the same time, its practicality as a diver's watch remains intact. The indices, which combine Arabic numerals and triangles, and the thick hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, making it easy to read the time regardless of the surrounding environment. A date display is located at the 4:30 position, making it a reliable choice for business settings as well.

The case, which makes extensive use of curved surfaces and is a hallmark of the Fifty Fathoms, is made of Grade 23 titanium. The brand logo is engraved on the side of the case at the 9 o'clock position. Like previous models, it is water-resistant to 300m, but despite its high water resistance, it is remarkably thin at just 12mm thick.

One of the elements contributing to the slim profile of this watch is the Cal. 1150 automatic movement it houses. This is the same slim movement used in the "Villeret" dress watch collection, and it boasts a long power reserve of approximately 100 hours. The movement can be admired through the transparent case back, including the gray-coated 18K gold rotor and beveled bridges.
