A bold form with an octagonal bezel is fused with crystalline titanium.

In 2026, Citizen Attesa released the "ACT Line Eco-Drive GPS Satellite Radio-Controlled Watch" Ref. CC4107-80H, a limited edition model based on the "Crystal Octagon" concept, which is also reflected in the product name. It is scheduled to be released on July 2nd, 2026 (Thursday), with only 1800 pieces available worldwide.

Eco-Drive (Cal. F950) light-powered movement. Approximately 5 years of operation on a full charge (with power saving activated). Super Titanium™ case (44.0mm diameter, 13.7mm thickness). 10 ATM water resistance. Limited edition of 1800 pieces worldwide. 385,000 yen (tax included). Scheduled for release on July 2, 2026 (Thursday).

As the name suggests, the highlight of this model is the incorporation of "crystalline titanium" into its dynamic, octagonal silhouette. The case and bracelet utilize a Super Titanium™ case treated with Duratect DLC. While the exterior is finished in all black, the design prominently displays the crystalline pattern of the crystalline titanium, creating a striking individuality within its stoic aesthetic.

Crystalline titanium is a material made by applying a special heat treatment to titanium, and is characterized by its rough texture and random crystalline pattern.

The dial also deserves attention. It features a unique molding pattern inspired by crystalline titanium, and a gunmetal metallic paint finish is applied over it, creating an even more cohesive look. Furthermore, the indicator ring is given a metallic texture, emphasizing the harmony of each element.

In addition to the bezel, crystalline titanium is also used in the center links of the bracelet, creating a continuity of texture from the dial and bezel to the bracelet.

The overall design of this watch is based on the Ref. CC4104-53E (and Ref. CC4105-69E), which won the "Good Design Award" in 2025 and the "iF Design Award" in 2026. The combination of a sharp, multifaceted case and an octagonal bezel, along with the seamlessly integrated form that connects to the bracelet, creates a solid impression despite its flat design.

The movement is the same as the base model, equipped with Cal.F950. As an analog wristwatch that combines GPS satellite radio wave reception and solar power generation, it is a high-end, high-performance model in the current Citizen Attesa lineup, receiving time information in as little as 3 seconds, one of the fastest in the world. Furthermore, it has a "Double Direct Flight" function that allows you to adjust to local time around the world with a simple crown operation, and it is possible to display the time of two cities, home time and local time, simultaneously, and switch between them in one step.

Citizen's titanium technology shines in "Crystal Titanium"

Now, the star of this model, crystalline titanium, is a material that has been used before, mainly in limited edition Citizen Attesa models, including collaboration models with the private lunar exploration program "HAKUTO-R". However, as far as I can remember, this bold use of titanium in the bezel and the center links of the bracelet is perhaps the first time it has been used in this model.

By incorporating crystalline titanium into the octagonal bezel, the presence of this material is more prominent than in previous models.

This material is produced through a process of heat-treating titanium at high temperatures and then cooling it again. The unique crystalline pattern is created by the uneven bonding of the titanium's composition during the temperature change. Except for the size of each individual grain, it is impossible to artificially control the finish, so all 1800 pieces in this collection will have a different appearance. Encountering this one-of-a-kind texture will enhance the satisfaction of owning this limited edition model.

On the other hand, using this material as a watch component presents extremely high manufacturing hurdles. This is because metals expand and change volume when subjected to high-temperature heat treatment. In other words, creating the sharp octagonal bezel and bracelet links of this watch requires precise design and processing that takes into account the volume changes caused by heat treatment. This specification embodies the know-how unique to Citizen, which pioneered the use of titanium in the industry and led its development. Combined with the crystal pattern motif dial, it can be said that the entire watch embodies the culmination of the company's expertise in using titanium.

Wearing this watch, you'll experience a mystical and substantial feeling, as if you're holding a mysterious, heavy mineral in your hands, thanks to the powerful, jet-black case made possible by Duratect DLC.

An overwhelming presence and ample practicality to suit everyday use.

This timepiece boasts an impressive package with a case diameter of 44.0mm and a thickness of 13.7mm. While the overall color scheme is a subdued black, its presence is considerable. Although I haven't had the chance to wear it on my wrist and examine it closely, its eye-catching appearance makes it seem like an easy choice to add a casual touch to off-duty fashion.

In terms of functionality, as mentioned earlier, it is equipped with the Cal.F950, the current high-end movement in Citizen Attesa watches, so it is naturally very feature-rich. Just to name a few, it has a wide variety of features, including a dual time function, a chronograph that can measure in 1/20th of a second increments, an alarm, and a perpetual calendar that eliminates the need for monthly calendar adjustments. Furthermore, it boasts high precision, operating within ±5 seconds per month even when radio waves are not received, and the proprietary "Perfex" technology, which combines shock resistance, magnetic resistance, and automatic hand correction to protect this precision, as well as energy efficiency that allows it to run for approximately 5 years on a full charge, making it a truly practical timepiece.

Although not easily visible from the outside, a nice feature is the "fit adjuster" on the buckle, which allows for easy length adjustment. It can be extended in three stages, up to approximately 7mm, without the need for tools.

Attesa: A choice that embodies Citizen's technological prowess and versatility.

The "Crystal Octagon" ACT Line Eco-Drive GPS Satellite Radio-Controlled Watch Ref. CC4107-80H combines globally acclaimed packaging with the unique pattern of crystalline titanium and a top-of-the-line movement for ultimate functionality. Thanks to the Duratect DLC-coated Super Titanium™, this model boasts excellent scratch and corrosion resistance, as well as a surprising lightness despite its size. Its exceptional convenience and attractive looks will truly shine in everyday use.

This season's new Citizen Attesa collection boasts a truly diverse lineup, ranging from this high-end model to a limited edition themed around a total lunar eclipse, a minimalist three-hand model stripped of unnecessary elements, and a collaboration model with "Star Wars" that lets you enjoy the world of science fiction. What they all have in common is that they are built upon Citizen's greatest strengths: Super Titanium™ and Eco-Drive light-powered technology, while simultaneously achieving an astonishingly diverse range of designs.

This strength is rare even within Citizen's vast and diverse product lineup, and the Attesa is a truly appealing watch that most directly demonstrates the company's technical strengths and innovative spirit. While the brand has a strong reputation as a business watch, we hope it will continue to be a reliable presence that attracts us in both practicality and design.
