Citizen's Campanola brand has released a limited-edition model with a design theme inspired by the "rays of light" of stars twinkling in the night sky. Available in two versions, one based on blue and the other on black, the new design code gives it a minimalist impression while simultaneously imbuing it with a unique depth and dynamism that sets it apart from previous models, resulting in a watch that stands out for its individuality.

As part of its 2026 new releases, two limited-edition models have been introduced, inspired by the phenomenon known as "rays" associated with stars and the sun.

　These two models belong to the Campanola series that features light-powered Eco-Drive technology. They are characterized by a multi-layered dial layout and a triple calendar function, with a pointer date subdial at the 12 o'clock position and month and day displays at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, respectively. Furthermore, a mother-of-pearl subdial featuring the iconic Campanola label and moon phase is positioned from the center to the 6 o'clock position.

　The term "light streaks" here refers to the phenomenon where, when viewing bright light sources such as stars in the night sky or the sun through a telescope or camera, streaks of light appear to extend in a cross shape or radially due to the diffraction of light. In the new model, this spread of light is expressed with the aforementioned multi-layered dial, and, as a new attempt not seen in previous models, sapphire crystal is used on the inner bezel. This creates a look that exudes transparency and depth.

　The lineup includes a bracelet model (Ref. BU0020-71N) with a blue dial and gold accents, and a model (Ref. BU0024-02N) with a black dial, case, and strap. The former will be limited to 250 pieces, and the latter to 170 pieces, and will be available from August 6th, 2026 (Thursday). In particular, the mother-of-pearl dial, with its texture spreading out from the Campanola logo like converging lines, is an iconic feature that immediately catches the eye, thanks to the organic luster inherent in the material and the moon phase display.

　Furthermore, it's worth noting that the dial of this model has been redesigned down to the smallest detail to achieve a modern and minimalist design. From the large opening of the previous model, the calendar disc's opening has been narrowed to only the current month and day of the week, and the scale on the trivet ring has been changed from Arabic numerals to a railway minute track. By re-evaluating the balance of each element, a more refined rhythm has been created in its appearance.

　Furthermore, like previous models, it features an elegant case primarily with a mirror finish, and the graceful curves extending to the lugs enhance the fit on the wrist. In addition, the crystal is a dual-spherical sapphire crystal with a clarity coating that reduces light reflection, achieving both a sense of unity with the case and excellent visibility.

　Incidentally, the Campanola Eco-Drive series, including this new model, also features ingenuity in how Citizen's unique light-powered technology, "Eco-Drive," is incorporated.
