On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Mr. Goro Yamada passed away. On behalf of Chronos Japan and webChronos, we offer our deepest condolences.
Our connection with Mr. Yamada dates back even before the launch of the Japanese edition of Chronos. He attended the wedding of our former editor-in-chief and also maintained a close relationship with Yukiya Suzuki of the editorial department. We have been in contact with him in various ways for many years.
Even after the magazine's launch, he spoke at our 10th-anniversary party and attended the funeral of our former editor-in-chief and the memorial service for our founder. He also fully demonstrated his extensive knowledge and inexhaustible curiosity through interviews and appearances on YouTube. We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again for the many kindnesses he has shown us.
There are countless things I want to say about Mr. Yamada. I'll write about them again after I've had some time to think and calmed down. He'd probably be furious and tell me to stop doing such embarrassing things.
Now, we simply want to honor his immense achievements, remember him as he was, and pray from the bottom of our hearts that Mr. Yamada may find eternal peace.
