The story of a man who was obsessed with digital and mechanical watches 3

Former Director Ishii Tatsuo
Vol.3 Marketing professionals analyze the appeal of mechanical watches

Hirota: Why do you think mechanical watches can survive in a digital society?

Ishii: It's the story, I think. Nowadays, product functionality has almost reached its limit, and there is almost no difference between products. For example, in the world of detergents, there are hardly any stains that can't be removed. This is because children don't leave muddy socks or other stains that can't be removed. So the reason people choose a particular product is because the image of the family shown in the advertisement matches the ideal they aspire to.
