MEGUMI-san

Born in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture in 1981, she made her debut in 2001. In recent years, she has appeared in NHK's historical dramas, as well as other TV dramas, movies, and variety shows, demonstrating her unique presence. Her Instagram, which is packed with information on beauty and health, has also become a hot topic. She also appeared in the film "NEET NEET NEET," which was released on November 23, 2018.

MEGUMI runs a website called "+Collaborate," where she publishes collaborative works with artists who respond to her calls on the site, and provides information on recommended cosmetics.

　She has a keen sense of beauty and is very fashionable, and on her left ring finger she is wearing a ring that looks just like a college ring. It was designed by her husband, musician Furuya Kenji, who wanted a wedding ring that would be unique. The voluminous gold ring has various patterns engraved on the arms, and a large ruby ​​with his initials engraved in the center. "It's very unique and I really like it, and I've grown more attached to it every year," she says.

　MEGUMI, whose deep pink lipstick stands out against her smooth, translucent skin like porcelain, carefully takes out from her accessory case a necklace of beautiful, lustrous pink pearls. It is a keepsake gift from her husband's mother. "It seems that she took the time to find high-quality pearls for me. To be honest, I had avoided pearls up until then because I thought of them as something for adults, but once I started wearing them without hesitation, I began to be able to wear them well. They look great on both formal occasions and with casual T-shirts, and have become a staple for me."

　When we asked Megumi about watches, she gave us an unexpected answer. "I've only ever bought one watch in my life." About 10 years ago, she bought a Rolex watch from the 1930s. "I love old things, both clothes and tableware. One day, I decided I wanted an antique watch, and after searching for six months, I finally found one! It had a delicate gold bracelet, a round white dial, and a cute font for the round numbers. I loved it, but it was hand-wound and difficult to maintain, so I gave it away. I'm currently in the midst of raising my children, so once things settle down a bit, I'm aiming for a Cartier Panthère de Cartier watch," she revealed.
