Hollowing out and beautiful finish
The Caliber 581SQ, which prioritizes aesthetic beauty, has more visual appeal than other timepieces in Breguet's Classic Collection. The 18K gold plate and bridges are hollowed out, revealing the movement's structure. This ratio is 50% of the original.
The remaining baseplate is hand-guilloched with a diamond-tipped tool to create a Clous de Paris pattern. The sharp edges are then beveled by hand with a file, requiring great patience, to create a 45-degree angle. The inscriptions and borders are then expertly engraved, also by hand.
The dial features a sapphire crystal disc with blued 18K gold applied hour markers and Roman numerals, and the brand's signature tempered blue Breguet hands are at the center.
A slim tourbillon movement that embodies the essence of Breguet
The Caliber 581SQ automatic movement is just 3mm thick, and the tourbillon carriage weighs 0.290g. It uses a peripheral rotor located on the outer periphery of the movement for winding, which allows for maximum elegance while also allowing the skeletonized movement to be fully admired.
The large barrel allows for a high frequency of 28,800 vph and a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. The tourbillon, the heart of the Caliber 581SQ, is constructed differently from the Caliber 581 found in the Classic Tourbillon Extra-Flat Automatic 5367 and Classic Tourbillon Extra-Flat Automatic 5377. In the Caliber 581SQ, the titanium carriage is directly connected to the gear train, without a pinion that rotates the entire carriage. Furthermore, the silicon escapement has a distinctive angled shape, which is one of the elements that helps save space.
The Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Thin Skeleton 5395 is available in two models: an 18K rose gold case and a platinum case. Both models are fitted with an alligator leather strap with a gold folding clasp.
