WatchTimeNY, a luxury watch festival, was held in October 2019 at Gotham Hall in the heart of Manhattan, New York. This year, 37 brands participated in the event, the largest number ever. For those interested in gold watches, we will introduce five models from the exhibition that bring out the beauty of gold.

Blancpain
"Fifty Fathoms Automatic"
Blancpain's luxury diver's watch, the Fifty Fathoms, features a red gold case and is the first in the collection to feature a blue ceramic dial. The 45mm 18K red gold case is water-resistant to 300m. The ceramic dial's center features a shimmering cobalt hue thanks to a sunburst finish, while the outer ring is a matte blue hue. Until now, ceramic has only been used on the bezel, and this is the first time the Fifty Fathoms has featured a ceramic dial like this one. It is powered by Blancpain's in-house automatic movement, the Caliber 1315, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 120 hours.

F.P. Journe
"Octa Automatic Lune"
FP Journe introduced the Octa Automatic Lune Havana in 2017. In 2019, the independent watchmaker introduced a moon phase watch with a new crown and case size. Available in 40mm or 42mm diameters and crafted from platinum or 18K rose gold, the flat crown features a silk rope motif. The dial is available in silver or the Havana Brown shown here. The minute scale around the outer periphery of the dial features a railroad track, blue or gold printed Arabic numerals, and a guilloched Clous de Paris pattern in the center. A 120-hour power reserve indicator is displayed at 9 o'clock, and a moon phase display at 7 o'clock is depicted on a newly introduced sapphire crystal disc. This watch is powered by an FP Journe in-house caliber with rose gold components.

Jaquet Droz
Grande Seconde Dual Time
Jaquet Droz has released four new dial designs for its Grande Seconde Dual Time collection. All cases are 43mm in diameter, including one in red gold. While all retain the Grande Seconde's signature figure-of-eight dial layout, a new visual element is added: a projection of the Earth as seen from the North Pole is placed on the lower half of the dial. The oceans surrounding the continents are depicted on the globe in mirror-polished black or anthracite. Additionally, the 24-hour home time display is clearly divided into two 12-hour segments. White indicates day, and black indicates night, allowing for intuitive reading. The movement is the Jaquet Droz 2663H24, featuring a silicon balance spring and lever tip. The openwork design allows for viewing of the fan-shaped rotor, the circular-grained mainplate, and the Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges.

MB&F
"Legacy Machine No.2 Red Gold Blue"
The MB&F Legacy Machine No. 2 (LM2) movement was unveiled in 2013 as a collaboration between MB&F and independent watchmakers Kari Voutilainen and Jean-François Mojon. Following on from the previous titanium model, this 18K rose gold model, limited to just 12 pieces, is released worldwide. Featuring a flying balance wheel, this Red Gold Blue model elevates the original LM2 with a sunburst blue dial created using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). This model employs a mechanism in which the average speed of dual regulators is transmitted to a single gear train via a differential gear. These elements are highlighted on the dial, along with an off-center white lacquered subdial displaying the hours and minutes.

omega
"Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph"
The 2019 Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph lineup includes a 44mm Sedna Gold model. Sedna Gold is an in-house Omega alloy of gold, copper, and palladium, characterized by its long-lasting reddish sheen. The watch features a unidirectional rotating diving bezel made of black ceramic with laser-etched indices and a Super-LumiNova-filled directional dot at 12 o'clock. The chronograph pushers are also made of ceramic. Inside the case, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, is Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 9901, based on the existing Caliber 9900, with an 18K Sedna Gold rotor and balance bridge.
